October 23, 201015 yr Those of us who use both FS9 and FSX know there are some differences with the detail of scenery and such but with the right addons it can sometimes be difficult to tell the difference. The one area where FS9 can be lacking is in its' depiction of water. I've attached a picture taken in FS9 which shows the blocky textures you can sometimes get. This is with Zinertek's Ultimate Water advanced. I don't think it has anything to do with this water addon, I think it's just the way FS9 renders water. If anyone has any suggestions on how to eliminate or at least lessen this problem, I would appreciate it.

The nearest I have found that nearly disguises this join in the textures is the Original Flight1 FS water the forerunner to Flight Environment by Peter Wilding. At dusk you will see the join no matter what textures you use so visibility will be the only option then.
