October 2, 200322 yr Hi All Just looked at some screen shots of this product and it looks a real frame rate killer. I know it just been released but would be interested to hear from anyone who might have bought it. Is there maybe a demo we could try, just like simflyers offers. Shaun.
October 2, 200322 yr Hi Shaun,There is no demo available of EGKK2004. However, I've been on the betaprogram and I can say something about the frame rates.I'm running FS9 at 1280x1024x32 FSAA4x every slider maxed out. I get between 16 and 22 FPS. My system is:AMD XP 1800@20001024 DDR333 RAMGeForce4 Ti4400 128MbFS9 is not tweaked for performance, but for image quality. I've read several performace improvement threads which should affect my FPS for the better, but I didn't execute them for now.I hope I supplied you with enough reference.EDIT: Some of our customers already commented on the FPS.This is just one example:http://www.fsatcn.com/yabbse/index.php?boa...ay;threadid=100OSS forum can be found at:http://www.fsatcn.com/yabbse/index.phpEDIT 2: There is also a thread here at Avsim.http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...d=147857#148713Cheers,
October 2, 200322 yr Hi,I'm getting 15- 20+ fps....but I have most sliders in FS9 full ramped up or 3/4 so I'm quite happy with it's performance :-)Considering the fps I've been getting in other addons of a similar complexity this runs very smooth on my rig.My system: Athlon XP 2600, Rad 9700 128mb, 512mb DDRCheersDave
October 2, 200322 yr No probs here either, although I've reverted back to FS2002, sick of tweaking(tried all of them) without getting the performance. In fs2002, On the active runway I get excellent FPS, even when watching the firemen training ;)JohnP 2.53 GHZ512 RAMWINXPGFORCE 4 128MB Ti4600http://homepage.eircom.net/~eamonnmca/images/logo_ba.JPGwww.bavirtual.co.uk Senior Captain Simflight.com Staff Reviewerhttp://vatsim.pilotmedia.fi/statusindicato...tor=OD1&a=a.jpg

October 2, 200322 yr Now I only bought 2 airport scenerys for FS so far and they were only 15MB and 6MB. Is the average file size for a payware scenery 78MB's??

October 2, 200322 yr >Joseph,>>We'll have our 3 part installer available very soon.>>So will the 3 part installer will be less than 78MB total? Or will it still be 78MB just broken into 3 parts?
October 2, 200322 yr Author Joseph,The total of the 3 files will be 78mb (yes we know that is alot)..but it will be broken up for easier downloading..we hope this helps people who cannot or won't d/l the big "Monolith" file as we call it.
