October 28, 201015 yr I have a Saitek Cyborg X Flightstick which comes with its own programming software for assigning sim functions to buttons etc. I also have MSFS2004 which has its own Controls Assignments options (as do other sims.)So which should I use - the Saitek or MSFS facilities? Does one take precedence over the other?TIA

October 28, 201015 yr I'm aware of FSUIPC but that was not what my question was about.Sorry that I didn't understand your question. My point was, why use anything else except FSUIPC? It is easy to set up, assignments are remembered for specific aircraft without having to reassign functions when using other aircraft along with a bunch of other applications. But to answer your question, you may need to experiment and determine the answer for yourself.Jim D.
October 29, 201015 yr Im with Jim and would say get rid of both and do it through FSUIPC.Now I know that wasnt what you were asking so if it were me and had to chose between the 2 you mentioned i would go with the built in fs assignment section.I have had many a joysticks that came with software to custumize them but seem to have never had any luck with them.Just my opinion. Intel I7 12700KF / 32 GB Ram-3600mhz / Windows 11 - 64 bit / NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060TI / 32" Acer Monitor, Honeycomb alpha/bravo, CH rudder pedals, Tobii 5, Buttkicker, Logitech radio panel.

I have since discovered that MSFS2004, which recognises my Cyborg flightstick, has some default assignments built in which cover basics like brakes, elevators, flaps and throttle(s), so I can at least take off - my landings leave a lot to be desired at the moment though i'll have a look at FSUIPC when I am little bit further along. Thanks
