CATLYST 3.8 Release Notes

Featured Replies

Hi Donald,I did a bit of research on your system, but can't pin down what CATS you are currently using. I can't even find your current drivers on the Gateway site! By date, I would guess they are some Gateway derivative of the CAT 3.2's. Others may be able to tell you more. The latest driver for your card list at the Gateway site is 6.14.10.6360, release date 9/22/2003. It is at the top of this page:http://support.gateway.com/support/drivers...n+drivers&st=kwThe latest CAT 3.8's should work fine on your system. But if you are reluctant to go with anyhting other than a driver from Gateway, the one's I listed above should be safe.Again I say... if you have no problems (such as the screen flickering when changing menus within the sim and/or smearing of text) then I certainly would advise against changing drivers. If your system is working, you have little to gain and alot to lose.Hope this helps,

>Based on 6.14.10.6396, and files is newer than 3.8You need to provide a lot more info bud. You've managed to raise a few eyebrows with your post but when I spent an hour searching both Dells website and the internet the only thing I come up with is a french site that shows it to be an ATI driver but not based on the 3.8's.Please for the sake of myself and everyone else suffering menu flickering prove me wrong and post a link to the drivers.ThanksBobby

Were published here http://www.station-drivers.com/ and removed again, who knows why??If you check there and notes about theese drivers in this forum, you will see that it is the same drivers I am referring to, i have the original ones, theese are modified by Omegacorner.http://www.omegacorner.com/index_ati.htmlI also see that DNA made a set based on theese drivers, find them here http://www.guru3d.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=66511Henrik Norgaard

www.omegacorner.com . Just installed them. No more flashing menus. Sim seems fine. Kneeboard works. Text works. I'm happy so far.
