Hi AllI saw a thread earlier and thought lets keep this going because its fun and nothing to do with FPS or tweaking but just our love of flying. So wives can interrupt flying but what about other things.I was flying Cardiff to Manchester in VFR, having a wonderful time I had followed the M6 due north over Birmingham and was on finals for Manchester I could see the runway I had flaps and gear down on a perfect glideslope when 300ft agl what happens. My faithful black familiar "Jack" leaps onto the desk and before you could say Cessna had strolled across the keyboard with his tail blocking all 21inches of my monitor well the bit that had the runway on it for sure.My landing wasn't the best in the world and I took out at least a dozen baggage carts but hey I got that sucker on the ground and walked away. Why do cats do that.Wycliffe

>>Why do cats do that.>There are no answers to questions that begin with, "Why does a cat..." ;)Mark

It was only a 70nm trip, just ferrying the big ol A310 over to the hub - yet Panda decides to start mewling and howling, demanding my attention and risking arousing my sleeping wife...it was only 70nm, why can't...,why do.....70nm;( regards,Mark

Regards,

Mark

LOL one of my mates has a cat that is attracted to the clicking sounds that comes from the keyboard when typing. The cat kept jumping up and walking along on the board each and every time. He even were able to type on the screen like that..The sounds might be the cause of the arrival of the black cat across the runway :DSO one might want to think about getting a soundproof keyboard to avoid those hard landings :)

Remember: Dogs have owners, cats have STAFF!!! In our house, I am "STAFF". :-lolPaul

Hey Paul,That's the best quote i've heard yet!! I too am staff (to two felines).(I think I'm the janitor).Bruce.

Actually, there's another one that's annoying as heck:The TELEMARKETER.I had one today. I was on approach to Palm Springs and this telemarketer for UPROMISE (which I Joined) kept asking me all these questions.Luckily I finished before I was on final.

Slight variation here - our pet pig Annabelle has impeccable timing - she marches into the Tech Shack (AKA our 3rd bedroom with all of the computer and music gear), demanding belly scratches, when I'm flying IFR, short final, 3/4 mile viz, low ceiling. My wife backs her up just in case she's not paying attention - the Honey Dew list gets updated in real time during an FS flight...But - women - god love 'em... We wouldn't have stewardesses aboard if it weren't for them .Dave BlevinsP.S. for the humor-impaired - THAT WAS A JOKE. Tee Hee already.

Well, one of my three cats (Nico) once managed to crash a MD11 somewhere over India on a flight to Bangkok when it walked unexpectedly onto the keyboard as it was time for getting fed.Cats are a special kind....Walter
