CTD while flying the Lancair with patch 1.1...

Featured Replies

Post Edit: Forget any reference to the Lancair. I have a G3D.dll crash.Post Edit 2: I think that I may have found out....the OZ LIB was rewritten between OZ_AUS, and OZ_NA. I had it below both, but for some reason the Scenery Lib repositioned it between the two. This might be what caused the CTD. I repositioned it below both items..and so far so good.... Post Edit 3: If you also find you are getting a G3D.dll app crash of FSX....fire up FSX again...and then go immediately to the Scenery Lib and see if FSX rewrote your OZ_LIB position above or in between either OZ_AUS and/or OZ_NA. If so...place it once more below the aforementioned and then exit the Scenery Lib. End FSX..and then restart. Your G3D.dll app crash should now not rear its head. When you use FSX CENTRAL and click on North America, you will find that the OZ_LIB will be written between the other two. That is what does it. If you get a G3D.dll crash...look to that.

I have never had this issue, but I only have the Lancair! You should post this on Orbx's forums!

I just went over there and saw that somebody else is getting a fast CTD under similar conditions...hmmm.......Thanks for the head's up.

I did. Also, when you fire up FSX CENTRAL to apply ORBX NA textures for PNW....go to your SCENERY LIB and make sure that OZ_LIB is BELOW both OZ_AUS and OZ_NA.FSX seems to apply the OZ_LIB entry BETWEEN the other two. You can place the OZ_LIB entry below the other two...but as soon as you go back to DEFAULT textures with the FSX CENTRAL, and go back at a future date to North America, you lose your entry line-up and have to lower it again. I don't know if this could have anything to do with my CTD crashes that have just appeared. I also recently added the latest download for ORBX's object library to FSX, and wonder if this could also perhaps be where I should be looking. Hopefully, I figure it out and be once more CTD-free....
