November 5, 201015 yr Afternoon all,Firstly i posted this on an old thread that i thought was within the FSX forum but was in the CS forum so this is kind of a double post.I have the Level-d 767 and it is a marvelous beast one which i use a good percentage of the time. I do however prefer the captain sim 757, im not sure why because some of the features of the level-d i.e. load manager are far superior. But i am kind of moving towards buying the CS 767 as the graphics etc do look pretty tasty and of course there are further updates 767-200 etc.Alot of people have suggested if you like the 757 then the 767 is worth a go. But is it really worth purchasing given that it has been released for a while. I appreciate that the level d may have a greater level of complexity, but as much as id like i dont go that far in to all the systems anyway. So can anyone provide me with some more updated opinions on the CS767 now that it has been around for a bit.ThanksTom Tom Why not read some useful tips and tricks - http://forum.avsim.n...22#entry1965722
November 5, 201015 yr I have both and they are fine, but the 767 is almost identical to the 757. As a sidenote, I have the QW 757 and since getting that I havent flown CS much at all. Jay

Without a doubt the CS 767 has a better looking 3D model and has far more animations. Also the VC in the CS 767 is beautiful. There is also an alternate lighting pack that really makes it look even better at night. That said, the CS 767 does have some quirks and doesn't have all of the complexity of the LDS 767. It probably has 85% of the things the LDS has but is in need of a final patch to fix a few stray issues while the LDS 767 has almost no issues at all and is rock solid. Both have great flight models and are a pleasure to hand fly. The CS 767 is missing the level of detail in the load manager so you're on your own when figuring out ZFW and %MAC/Trim values. Also, the CS767 has its fuel in Kgs (although there is a manual, but easy, fix on their forum to change this to Lbs.)Both have built in announcements that can be customized to suit your needs, but the CS 767 allows you to manually chose when each plays vs the LDS 767 which plays them at automatically triggered points. So, is there a "need" to go to the CS 767 if you have the LDS 767? No. Will you miss anything in the CS 767 if you have the LDS 767? No. If you purchase the CS 767 will you never fly the LDS 767 again? No. However, if you are like me and have more money than you have brains :( go ahead and buy it and fly both!
