F-111 Aircraft Carrier work

Featured Replies

I created a FSX compliant advanced capability panel package that is available freeware , its title is F-111 Pig HUD package , file fxpiggb5.zip and updated by fxpiggb6.zip,it was made specifically for the Alphasim/ Virtavia F-111 Aardvark swing wing aircraft which is a FS2004 aircraft that works brilliantly in FSX .It contains a large number of custom instruments :MFDs , an enhanced HUD , an extremely functional ground mapping and air to air intercept radar , a Pave Tack viewer that can be panned,it also features integral autopilot/autothrottle ,TFR , 3 approach guidance units , and includes effects covering missiles ,bombs , flares, dump and burn , exhaust smoke. It is configured for Aircraft Carrier use , the aircraft performs fantastically in FSX and has an abundance of thrust taking it easily up toMACH 2.52 , at the same time it can be flown extremely low , and with the HUD and Velocity Vector can be weaved between trees at 25' AGL at 400-500 knots. This is an extremely capable package that provides the pilot with a massive amount of data for any mission or navigation purposes,it lists the 16 nearest airports with distance and bearing info and runway data can be called up , the same data can be providedfor any of the 24,000 airport worldwide and active flight plans are displayed on several instruments. It contains a 56 page Flight Manual and has an assortment of documentation .I would be interested in seeing comment s and opinions covering its use on both fixed and moving Aircraft Carriers andespecially the fixed carrier where pilots have installed the rcbco-30 Carrier Operations Package .Any comments please ?

The following link is provided for those that might have problems loading the other FSX compliant panelby Steve Hess , his panel is authentic to the actual F-111 . My panel package represents a more modern instrumentation variant .The loading problem stems from the name change from Alphasim to Virtavia , Basically the " aircraft cfg " needs to be altered to reflect the name change fromALPHA to the new name in the "Manufacturer" area of the aircraft cfg.http://forums.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?221693-Problems-converting-Virtavia-F-111-for-FSXCheersKarol

Sounds like you've done a fair bit of work there, but since I don't have that aircraft it's not something I can check out unfortunately. Good luck with it though.Al

Most FSXers won't be interested in F-111's until there is a native version made...Myself included! :(

I just read on a forum somewhere that there is a native FSX version being developed, and now I can't find it. Maybe I was dreaming. I do have the Alphasim version, but not installed in FSX. I'll install it and try this addin on for size.
