Grass texture

Funny answer there, szostol. Don't harm your monitor now. Just%20Kidding.gifI could do some shots on a nice Orbx airfield and you will think that FSX was boosted into the year 2030 or so. E. g. load Tamworth (YSTW) from them and catch up on that grass there. My point is, that if you go for some scenery addons, you will greatly enhance such details on more or less larger areas.Everything comes at a price though. You have to buy the addons and you need some hardware to run it. Yours looks very good, so maybe go for those Orbx sales over there to catch a scenery gem.Sounds like advertising, huh? I just realized that I'm not objective when talking about Orbx stuff, I like it too much. So never mind. :( (but look at the screenshots on their site)

I have several addons and at night it looks same == I am an idiot! == anyway. Also you don't see anything on my screens and I do.

I think that pictures show what is sent TO the monitor not what is SEEN on the monitor. You have to understand this when you make monitor adjustments. Yes you will see colors other than green in FSX grass. Look at photos of the ORBX airports and there you will see more coloring of grass areas. Total single shade of green is not real nor is extreme coloring. However, the poor application of colors, and their blending, in the original FSX grass makes you want to get in the air and at altitude quickly. The slime/grass does not look good. ORBX, and others, have improved it but not totally real looking. Unless you have actual blades of grass there will always be slime.

I know, that's why I'm blaming my monitor fir seeing different things to CoolP.

Call me naive, but I really thought that this phrase was written by you. That's why I was talking about a "funny answer".Some forum software replaces phrases with less harmful ones but I really wonder what was written there before if it gets replaces with this. :blink:Mods sometimes do this replacing too but then they usually mark this stuff as edited or so (at least they do this here). Other guys can't edit your posts unless your password is 1234 (which is the standard one to all locked things in "Spaceballs" by the way).Best replacement so far (on another forum) was the word cockpit becoming ****pit. LOL.gif

I'm not sure if this will fix anything since I don't have the same addon, but it would seem that decreasing the mesh/texture resolution would help. If FS is trying to stretch the original texture, that might cause it to look weird...Anyway, I'm no expert :)
