Another Vote For Captain Sim 707

Featured Replies

I splashed out on two new aircraft yesterday... the Qualitywings 757 (Disappointing - see other thread) and the Captain Sim 707.I must say that although I still think the CS707 is over priced, even with the latest cut, it IS of a good high quality.I understand that many had issues with the v1 & even the 1.1. My only experience is with v1.2.I haven't yet had time to fully try the navigation system, but everything else is extremely good so far. Auto pilot seems to do exactly what it says on the can! This fact alone is untrue of a number of other aircraft, including some from CS I might add.For anyone 'on the fence' with this aircraft, like I was, I seriously doubt you'd regret the purchase.I'm not 100% sure about the sounds. Just seems it's not very load in the cockpit. But then, I've only got the old CS707 FS9 variant to compare with.

The only time a real 707 gets loud inside in my experience, is when the gear comes down. I damn near had a coronary the first time I heard that when in flight, it sounded like the thing was falling to pieces, and the thing was shaking about all over the place LOLActually that was a 720 variant, Monarch Airways, but that's still a 707 in my book.Al

The 707 was before my time, plane I remembered that used to freak me outnoise-wise was the BAE146, flew those from KSNA to KSJC, and when theydropped the flaps that thing made a WEIRD racket, used to make me prettytense :( As for the CS 707 though, I completely agree, its a great piece of work.I bought it at release, with the two updates its just wonderful. Theliveries are great, I've had no problems with systems, I still have nottested INS for myself though. I just LOVE landing the thing, makes youlook good it comes down so gently :(

Gday Thought id ask you if you have the same sound prob im having with the engine sounds, they are ok until i increase the throttle, then i get a sound that shouldnt be there, mainly a thrust sound , as if you are standing on the outside , behind the a/craft, apart from that its very nice Do you have the 727 as well?

Can't say I know what you mean about the sounds. I don't have anything abnormal.I do have the 727 and like it very much.
