November 10, 201015 yr I have been sifting thru the available info on the new E-Jets v2 for fsx by feelThere that was introduced recently. This is the newest Embraers' 175 and 195 with updated cockpits and panels. Without any reviews just yet, they apprear to be real up to date addons for fsx with lots of integration, color, good VC, etc. Although, there is a five year history of earlier models, starting with FS9, then fsx was added with several tutorials and lots of repaints and checklist here at AVSIM, I am interested in finding some simmers that just recently jumped into the feelThere/Embraer camp. I waited and waited for the Aerosoft A320x and still waiting for the PMDG 737NGx so I was thinking maybe I will learn the Embraer system instead of just continuing to wait.. The embraer method appears to be similar but with a very different approach to the CDU and flight planning. But, the cockpit appears very advanced and up to date. Lots of colors, graphics, screens, etc. They seem to be flying with the goodies that the 737NGx keeps promising.Any thoughts? Ray When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .
November 10, 201015 yr Ray. What kind of simmer are you. A PMDG type (loves everything modelled down to the smallest detail), Aerosoft Bus Driver (doesn't mind a not-so-in-depth sims), or are you just getting into fly "medal" with CDU's etc etc. If your a PMDG type guy i think yopu can enjoy but just understand what you are buying, its not nothing like the MD-11..more like the JS41; uhh "lite" if you will. It's WAY WAY better then Aerosoft Airbus in terms of CDU etc etc. If you are new to medal then I'd get it, its not THAT heavy. All in all its pretty good. WIlco is suppose ot be updating there Airbus plane to new version but there is no information on there site, so maybe wait awhile and check that out. Take it easy and if you do get it post some screens shots ok? November 10, 201015 yr Author Ron, I really don't know how I would describe my simming except to tell you that I really dislike all fuzzy things, like FS9 stuff ported over and sold as new FSX. I do like the CS stuff, I have all the C-130 packs, 727, 757, 767. I fly the Wilco A400m Airbus and really love the crisp clean PDF, MDF, EFIS, etc parts and absolutely hate the fuzzy parts - like the AP and pedestal. I like the Duke, Twotter, most of Carenado models. I have more Just Flight addons than I like to admit, but I like the little twin, can't think of the name just now, I also like their A320 Jetliner that came out a couple of months ago. It is not the best looking one out there by a long shot, but everything works on it and I have never had any problem with it. I have the 747 Queen from PMDG and I fly it quite often. I have all the Lionheart stuff and have enjoyed the Epic Victory Jet most of all. I also like flying the free Tiger Moth around Hawaii with the scenery upgrade. But, most of all, I like the PNW Orbx scenery with anything I happen to be flying.Hows That?Ray When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .
November 10, 201015 yr I'd say get it then, if you can fly the 744 from PMDG this should not be a problem. The guages are VERY clear and nice looking. The VC is very good too, not the best put it is a product that is i think 2 years old now so ya. Maybe watch some HD youtube videos to get a better idea. Just so you know the documentation is rater limited for a complex airplane. Do you own the JS4100?Ron Hamilton Ron Hamilton "95% is half the truth, but most of it is lies, but if you read half of what is written, you'll be okay." __ Honey Boo Boo's Mom
