November 12, 201015 yr Hi,For a while have been under the impression that I was one of a very few Fs X Simmers who uses DX10 preview because of the beauty of the scenery, but above all because of the BIG increase in fps. After the recent post about DX10 airports and the cure for flickering runways I became aware the many Simmers were using DX10 and that quite a few are correcting their favorite airports. To do all is a very big ask, so I have been wondering what would happen if Simmers were to publish (upload) their efforts so that we could concentrate on what was left. If we could upload them to FsX \ Scenery and indicate "DX10 adapted" or something similar many hands would make light work, as the saying goes. I am sure many of us are busy with the same airports while others are untouched. I hope we could do this together

November 12, 201015 yr Author Wow! A reply from the master!! Thanks for your expertise that we all can learn from. I have previously had a reply on another forum telling me to tweak DX9, but I fail to achieve this. I have tried your .cfg tweaks for lower end pc's and I have tried NVidia Inspector, but non give me the boost I get from DX10. Obviously the fault is mine, but I don't know what else to try. My pc is a Intel DP55WB motherboard wit a i3-530. My video is a Leadtek GT240. I run Win 7 Home Premium and I have 4Gig ram. I know this is lower middle of the road, but pensioners can't be choosers! I looked at your indicators in the next post, but I have most of them active. I do not use BP=0, as I assume that is for i7's. Any further advice will be most welcome.
November 12, 201015 yr I use the BP=0 tweak and i have a dual core E8500 processor. It may be that this is only for I7 processors (not sure) but i notice a definite improvement in performance in combination with other bojote tweaks.Tom Tom Why not read some useful tips and tricks - http://forum.avsim.n...22#entry1965722
November 12, 201015 yr I looked at your indicators in the next post, but I have most of them active. I do not use BP=0, as I assume that is for i7's. Any further advice will be most welcome. The best tweak is hardware (a CPU running 4.0 / 4.2) and a GTX 470/480, then you 'tune' it to achieve 'near perfection' applying 'some' tweaks to achieve better stability, faster texture loading, reduced blurries and lower overall CPU usage so you can install more add-ons. Anyhting else, hardware wise (in my opinion) will frustrate you because things will not be 100% smooth. The tweaks I have published are all about getting the most out of current hardware, so you'll see that the people reaping the benefits are those with the fast PC's.So, I recommend the following:1) Get your expectations straight, a Corolla will not accelerate from 0 to 55 MPH in 4 seconds unless you buy a new car.2) Don't blindly read the advice about tweaking before having a clear understanding of that it does first.3) Get your hardware in shape, make sure IT IS already tuned and doesn't have any overheating problems, hardware conflicts etc.4) Read Nick's tweaking guide at simforums (I don't know which is the most current guide he has)If after ALL the above you are still not satisfied re-visit point #1, and then, you go here:http://forum.avsim.net/topic/297361-bojotes-tweak-compilation/
November 13, 201015 yr Author Thank *******, I appreciate your input. What I really want is running DX9 the way DX10 runs on my rig. I am in the process of implementing all the mentioned tweaks. How did you know I drive a Toyota??? (2006 Corolla)
