Back with MSFX - with a problem
I'm back flying MSFX after an extensive layoff, mostly due to a major back op. I did pick up a problem, probably due to cobwebs in my upperstory. I can't engage higher simulator rates (Pressing R om my keyboard). I tried errasing and reapplying R and even allocating NUM + but to no avail. All other keyboard commands that I tried, worked perfectly. Can somebody please advise??

Back to Flightsim - with a problem
Hi, After an extended "layoff" after a major back op I restarted FSFX. At my age (80 this year) there are many cobwebs and I have to delve deep i a shallow pond (mind). My first long flight revealed a problem: my Simulator rate (R on the keyboard) isn't working. I tried deactivating an reactivating, even to a nother key, bur all in vain. Any ideas???

Steve's Bkg.BMP does more...
I have a B777-300 on which I converted the .bmp's to .dds with the help of Imagetool + bat file. This was all in vain and it just sat there on my FsX. Big was my surprise when I suddenly saw it in full livery when I opened my FsX after installing Steve;s latest upgrade. I immediately checked all my AI aircraft and all were in full livery. (I had them converted with Imagetool at the same time as the B777). This is really was giant step for Flightsim!! Thanks! I originally thought my FS had reverted to DirectX 9. (I have a relatively slow pc and noticed a drop in fpm, compared to DirectX 9, but I am working on it.) Thanks again.

White AI and addon aircraft
I know that this has been discussed at length, but in the end it seems to me that Addon ConcerterX is the only solution. In US currency $20 is not much, but in our currency it is pricey. Is there another solution?

Joysticks and hatswitches and flight sims, oh my!
I found that I can't "register" any second options in the Aircraft/Game Settings by way of my Sidewinder Joystick. It seems to remember the settings I had set up before the "Update", but does'nt "see" my Sidewinder.

Wonderful Southern African scenery
It is with deep gratitude toward the Aeroworx team that I post this. I say this because it needs to be broadcast far and wide that the team has done such a marvelous job with South African scenery and with so much dedication that speaks of commitment, knowledge and shear willpower that cries out to be acknowledged. Just search for Aeroworx under FsX scenery and see the work they have done. They seem to have reached a milestone with the latest release and this prompts me to write this.Thank you guys and well done, I am sure I speak for many, many Flightsimmers from Southern Africa and many from other parts of the world.Highly appreciated!!

DX10 friendly airports
Thank *******, I appreciate your input. What I really want is running DX9 the way DX10 runs on my rig. I am in the process of implementing all the mentioned tweaks. How did you know I drive a Toyota??? (2006 Corolla)

DX10 friendly airports
Wow! A reply from the master!! Thanks for your expertise that we all can learn from. I have previously had a reply on another forum telling me to tweak DX9, but I fail to achieve this. I have tried your .cfg tweaks for lower end pc's and I have tried NVidia Inspector, but non give me the boost I get from DX10. Obviously the fault is mine, but I don't know what else to try. My pc is a Intel DP55WB motherboard wit a i3-530. My video is a Leadtek GT240. I run Win 7 Home Premium and I have 4Gig ram. I know this is lower middle of the road, but pensioners can't be choosers! I looked at your indicators in the next post, but I have most of them active. I do not use BP=0, as I assume that is for i7's. Any further advice will be most welcome.

DX10 friendly airports
Hi,For a while have been under the impression that I was one of a very few Fs X Simmers who uses DX10 preview because of the beauty of the scenery, but above all because of the BIG increase in fps. After the recent post about DX10 airports and the cure for flickering runways I became aware the many Simmers were using DX10 and that quite a few are correcting their favorite airports. To do all is a very big ask, so I have been wondering what would happen if Simmers were to publish (upload) their efforts so that we could concentrate on what was left. If we could upload them to FsX \ Scenery and indicate "DX10 adapted" or something similar many hands would make light work, as the saying goes. I am sure many of us are busy with the same airports while others are untouched. I hope we could do this together

DX 10, Again
Hi, My Fs X flies so much better that I would rather tolerate a few white AI aircraft than move to DX 9 (yes, I have the latest updates for DX 9). I found many discussions about the problem, but can't find definite pointers to where to look for answers. I run Win 7, 64 bit Home Premium on an i3 cpu and a 240GT video, so my system is good enough to my liking on DX 10. I did insert Fixhimem. I do not like to overclock as the multiplier is locked at 22. Is there any hope of a solution?

Flightsim X SP 2 problem
I recently took delivery of my new PC which has Win 7 64bit Home Premium. I disabled UAC and installed Flightsim X. I ran it a few times and then installed SP1 without any problems. When I tried to install, it only went halfway and then stopped wit an error message telling me that it could not complete the installation as my system has not been modified. I did install FsX on a separate folder (not Program Files). I gave myself full rights but that did not help. Could anybody please tell me what it means and what to do?

Which do you use on Windows 7 64bit? (RC4 vs PFE)
Hi,I will be receiving my new PC with Win 7 Home Premium next week and as a XP 32 guy I really do not know what these terms mean. Could you help me get in gear for my new rig, please?
