Scott,It's actually a generous question.I have two monitors and one is at 1024x768, while the other is at 800x600. The combos are endless. ;-)

Dang, for once in my life do I want to participate in a poll.... and now my answer is notlisted :-(My monitor runs on 1152 x 864 (and the second one on 1024 x 768).Oh well.... for the next poll you could put up:Do you ever use a resolutin of 1152 x 864? O YES O NO O I DON't KNOW :-waveP.S. No fish caught :-(, but got sun burn :-) :-outta Francois :-wave

"At home in the wild"[link:avsim.com/alaska/alaska_051.htm|Don's Alaskan Bush Charters]"Beavers Lead the Way"[link:www.avsim.com/vfr_center/mainpages/vfr_flights_main_page.htm]VFR Flight Center]"Looking Good Outside"

http://avsim.com/hangar/air/bfu/logo70.gifhttp://www.fssupport.com/images/moose2.gif

________________________Francois A. Same as you, Francois....1152 x 864 on a 19" Trinitron.PS "No fish caught "Hey....guess that's why they call it fishing.I always like to tell folks that I'm not into "fishing" but very much into "catching"! :-lol :-lol

I voted for the 800x600 this morning but it's not showing any votes for that screen res?? Judging from how few votes there are overall maybe you should post this poll in the more popular forums or maybe on the front page? Personally I would hate to see these forums go up in screen res which would require much scrolling by those of us that use 800x600.

now 1024*768 but on next rig(due friday) it'll be 1600*1200 for FS, and 1280*1024 for default windows on my 17" monitor(new one, finaly)

Hi Scott,What with all the discussion over this forum lately, I think this is a great idea.I've always wondered why you all aren't using the poll abilities of the forum system more often - there are simply so many topics that it would be more than interesting to know the responses to in the sim field. So, maybe you all can make this a weekly thing... Take suggestions for the topics and post new official polls in this Hanger forum - then advertise them on the front page and the like. That should indeed make this forum a lot more interesting to a wider variety of people than it seems to be now. Someone brought up the "family" idea of forums: well lets just turn this forum into the new, modern extension built onto the back of the old, crusty house (instead of a "dark and lonely" hanger, that is)...:-)Mines 1280x960x3 by the way.Take care,http://members.rogers.com/eelvish/elrondlogo.gifhttp://members.rogers.com/eelvish/flyurl.gif

Thanks Elron, your thoughts are greatly appreciated as always and you have an interesting idea there ! :-) :-outta Francois :-wave________________________Francois A. "Navman" DumasAssociate Editor &Forums AdministratorAVSIM Online!email: [email protected]________________________

Good idea this one. The problem is that at home I use 1280x1024 on my 19" monitor, and at work 1024x768 on my 17" monitor.Dave.

I run my 17" monitor at 1024x768 but all of my browser windows (and web-site designs) are 800x600. I don't like having my browser maximized - I prefer to have a load of windows open which I can flick between. I run games/sims/apps etc at 1024 though.Iain Spowart,Scotland.Webmaster and photographer,Scottish Claymores 2002Cheerleaders Fan Sitehttp://avsim.iainspowart.com/2002-s.jpghttp://www.claymorescheerleaders.comhttp://www.iainspowart.com

Did you know that 1280x1024 is the wrong aspect ratio? All the other resolutions are 1.33:1 (even Flybert's 960x720) but 1280x1024 is 1.25:1. The funny thing is that I'm using 1280x1024 and don't notice any abnormalities such as elliptical circles or rectangular squares. Maybe the difference isn't enough to be ovious without measuring?

Thanks Elrond, sounds like a good idea to try to draw some interest to the forum. I actually had a double intention with this poll. One to see just how many people made it to this forum to answer the poll on their own. This would give me a little bit of an idea how many people are tuning into it right now. In the next couple of days, I'll pass the word about this forum to some of our other busiest forums to try to get the rest in here. The second purpose is pretty straight forward. To get an idea of resolution to help us base the items in the website to general preference, especially in the forums. And while I'm at it, I'm bumping this poll back to the top. Note to self: also need code change to allow anchoring of polls. arrggghh
