November 14, 201015 yr I just purchased and installed the 208B and all 5 liveries have pods hanging underneath which I don't care for. I could swear I saw pictures of a passenger version of the Carenado 208B with no pods. I looked for a configuration screen of some sort but found none. I went through the aircraft .cfg and nothing jumped out at me that could be the solution. 1. How do I get rid of them and, 2. once removed shouldn't that change the flight characteristics as well, necessitating changes to other files as well? Thanks in advance. Frank L.T
November 14, 201015 yr Shift 3 you have to set the settings everytime you fly the plane. There is better longterm solution. I also dont like the pods and have to have to slect evrytime. Drove me nuts..Here is the solution. It work perfectlylink to solutionif you dont know how to create gauges etc.. Send me PM and I will send them to you with instructions how to add them so that those pods can stay off
November 14, 201015 yr Author Yep, Shift 3 was the config screen. I went throught the different PDF documentation twice and saw no mention of Shifts 2,3,5 and 6, only Shift 4.Now I need to spend some time with the manuals to familiarize myself, thanks. Frank L.T
December 3, 201015 yr Hello Guys --- hey, many thanks for this post. I am just getting on board as I just procured the Caravan from Carenado. What a super bird.Appreciate the basic lesson in XML gauge usage. I followed your guidelines and mine works very nicely. Also nice about this solution, is that if you want to switch on a pod for hauling some cargo, you can. But at least the bird comes up clean, and that is nice since I too fly it that way, for the most part. Thanks again for the solution. Cheers --- Bob Bob Magill
