November 15, 201015 yr http://www.1011tristar.com/Apparently you can still preorder this, but I doubt this project is still alive. Anyone have any info on this? I think they should take down the part where you can put your credit card number into it so that some FS noob doesn't accidentally place an order for this. The project was looking pretty nice though at the time :( Jeff Commercial | Instrument | Multi-Engine Land AMD 5600X, RTX3070, 32MB RAM, 2TB SSD

I think they should take down the part where you can put your credit card number into it so that some FS noob doesn't accidentally place an order for this. The project was looking pretty nice though at the time :(It'a amazing that we have all of these addons for flight sim, sometimes three or four of the same aircraft, but yet we can't get a quality L1011. Funny thing is that it is quite an attractive airplane from my perspective. I got a chance to fly on one a couple of times as a kid before they went out of service but I would be happy to pay top dollar for a good Tristar for the sim. Hopefully one of the many developers out there will take a chance of one of these birds.Cheers, Pete Pete Solov - Lake in the Hills 3CK and Schaumburg Regional 06CProud AOPA Member - PPL 2001Real World Piper Cherokee Pilot
November 15, 201015 yr Such a shame to see this one turn into vaporware but it looks like that's where it went. Began development in 2003 and has been cut off since 2005... I wonder if the developers of it have considered passing it on to somebody else.
November 15, 201015 yr Fortunately we still have the Aerosim L-1011, which I think is a very nice plane. Not very deep systems-wise, but quite good nonetheless. it's a pity we have no more, though. I have always found it a very "aesthetically pleasing" plane. November 15, 201015 yr If this is the one that I think it is, then Dai Griffith was brought into the project to try to get it finished. If so, he had it ready for beta testing earlier this year as he asked me to be a beta tester but I was too busy to take the project on. If it is this one, I would trust Dai absolutely. If he says he's going to do it, he will. But it might be dependent on someone else as well, as gauges and systems are Dai's area of expertise. Anyway, if it's the project that Dai was asked to complete, it might be in beta and it might still get released. (notice the "might") :(
