where to find voice warning unit sounds

Featured Replies

Hey guys, I'm working on a project and I've been trying to figure out where to find the voice warning unit system sounds for various fighter and attack aircraft (primairly the F-16). Does anyone know of a good place to find these, the results whenever I Google this usually turn up black box recordings from crashes, which aren't very helpful. I did find one result for the F-16 from f16.net, however because it was a sample from Falcon 4.0, I'd rather avoid legal issues. Thanks,Peter

You could always try contacting the real 'B*tchin Betty', aka Erica Lane, who provided the voice for those F-16 warning sounds, here's her website: http://www.eleinc.com/erica.shtmlAl

Peter, Having the authentic sounds would be best :( But if that’s a problem or licensing is an issue - you might get good results using a speech synthesizer.Danny

I'll probably do that sometime soon. I have a lot of other stuff on my plate however right now.

That's something that I was considering, however the main issue with the Falcon 4.0 sounds is that Atari had a bad tendency to try to sue modders of Falcon 4.0, and I really doubt they'd take kindly to my using it on a non-Falcon project all together. Also, sorry my response took so long, but I recently had a little bit of a wild ride getting a term paper ready and handed in. That kind of shifted my focus away from everything here, and I completely forgot about this post until 10-15 minutes ago.
