Hello AllCan somebody advise me on how to unin and then rein the FS9 update. My version of FS9 shows as version 9 not 9.1.Without going into detail I have had a lot of PC hassle recently involving new hard drive, rein XP ,rein fs9 bbbbbbblah!I first tried unin (using the proper patch uninstaller)the update, removed the backup file, etc. etc. that seemed to go OK,but when it comes to reinstalling I am getting update error34 and that's as far as get. I got in a mess, FS wouldn't start,so I used a system restore and now I am back to square one.FS runs, but it shows it as version 9.I WANT 9.1 AGGH etc.lCheers AndyPS remember that test? That went OK,not perfect ,but a workaround has been found.Unfortunately I have been sworn to secrecy So just treat the whole thing as a strange dreamfuelled by rather aged cheddar cheese.

According to this MS web page:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/894732You do not have the location of FS9 set in the registry correctly.Download and use the Flight1 utility to reset your FS2004 registry values.http://www.flight1.com/view.asp?page=libraryHope this helps,

Thanks GuysI SEEM? to have sorted things out now,and I am airborne again. I don't no why I cannot leave things alone if they are not broken.I think subconsciously I enjoy messing things up, so I can get a buzz when I sort them out again. What a silly fellow I am.Ying%20Yang.gifAndybiggrin.gif
