Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package?

Featured Replies

Hi guys.I saw somewhere post about possible problems with Win7 and fs9.The problem was solved with installing older Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable which are not included in W7.Did somebody saw this post and could somebody confirm this.ThanksEdin H.

i know that for my PMDG MD-11 for FSX i had to install this, either the 2005 or 2008 version i don't remember to get the plane to work properly

As I understand it, Win 7 "supports" the use of the basic "run time files" (which is what is in that package) but did not have them included in the release of the Operating System - as I believe was the case with XP and perhaps Vista.If they are needed for some programs or utilities etc., you have to get and install the package yourself.That is my understanding anyway.
