AMD Smooth Motion Frames with Prepar3D
There's an AFMF2 now https://www.amd.com/en/resources/support-articles/release-notes/RN-RAD-WIN-AFMF2-TECH-Preview.html I realized the original implementation was really tanking the frames for MSFS because it was eating VRAM that I didn't have. Their implementations do seem to be more for if you can already get 60 fps to start. I've gone to the LSFG instead and it's been working well.

Help required with lossless scaling
6700 XT works fine for me, gives me extra smoothness on approaches to busy airports DX11, 100 Hz monitor, Vsync to 1/2 refresh, windowed. Click Scale, click on Flight Simulator, then it shows the # / # framerates

AMD Smooth Motion Frames with Prepar3D
I used P3D v5.4. I used the AMD driver overlay to see the enhanced frame rates which was roughly doiuble the Shift+Z frame counter. It was enabled in whatever P3D full screen was by pressing Alt+Enter. Because I prefer to fly windowed I didn't test it out too much. I didn't immediately notice any graphical glitches. I've also used this a bit with MSFS and also haven't found any significant glitches.

AMD Smooth Motion Frames with Prepar3D
seems to work ok for me! AMD users should definitely try this out! get about double the frames from before, although they suggest the base frames should be 60+, it looked pretty smooth to me when i was under that.

AMD Smooth Motion Frames with Prepar3D
Anyone with an AMD card try out the new stable release Smooth Motion Frame driver? Theoretically this should work with P3D V4/5/6 too given it's a DX11/12/12 game. Requires full screen and disabling VSYNC though. I'll try it a bit later and report back 😛 https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/release-notes/rn-rad-win-24-1-1

X-Plane Videos and Streams
I really enjoyed this video from V1-Simulations with the Toliss A319 trying out the failure model. V1-Simulations is an A320 series pilot. Seems to have held up quite closely against his company procedures. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X-E6KPm4Iig

Chaseplane supports P3Dv6
I do agree this could be handled and communicated better, especially with the earlier "complaining" earlier by the devs, but ultimately any price would have generated complaints anyways "CUZ IT'S SO LITTLE WORK!". They noted before the reduced the price after MSFS released and that didn't really boost sales so maybe a lower price doesn't give them much of an upside. edit: Can I ask what "loyalty" you mean here? you paid a fixed amount (which wasn't that high) and then maybe you used the software a lot.

Chaseplane supports P3Dv6
People wanted ChasePlane we get ChasePlane and then of course the complaints about the price. ChasePlane was initially launched October 2016 so almost 6 years of support on the original license, 5 versions of P3D support and FSX support. People want infinite support for free. Tough crowd can see why no one wants to develop for P3D anymore.

Introducing Pilot's Deck, a StreamDeck Plugin
Maybe "choose the sims you would like to install for?" but agree this is probably a marginal use case, I'm just grateful your utility exists 😀.

Introducing Pilot's Deck, a StreamDeck Plugin
Thanks Fragtality! With the 0.7.9 installer, it made an assumption that because I had MSFS installed that I wanted to install Pilots Deck there but I wanted to install for X-Plane only. It would not let me proceed without proceeding without installing Mobiflight. Therefore I just did the manual install. Not a big deal but just pointing it out.

Cockpit exposure.
so the choice is to not be able to see anything (narrow field of view) ... or not be able to see anything (dark cockpit) ? 😅
-
Cockpit exposure.
thanks for sharing that ... think goes to show a bit of compromise here helps with different setups

Cockpit exposure.
Come on you're being a bit extra difficult here ... I'm sure the X-Plane team take feedback on features even when we don't have a statistically significant survey. It would seem like there is interest in having brighter cockpits and perhaps that can be an option. It is a common complaint for other sims (e.g. MSFS, P3D) and there are preferences for a brighter cockpit.

How good is the Fly The Maddog X MD-80 for P3Dv5?
I think in screenshots it looks ok but when moving around in the cockpit it becomes a bit more obvious. I think the FSL and PMDG have better VC texturing. I prefer to use MSAA if I can get away with it because it is easier on frames but agree need to use SSAA when flying the plane. The external application configuration manager is a bit old school but does get the job done. No arguments from me on the overall quality of hte plane.

How good is the Fly The Maddog X MD-80 for P3Dv5?
I have it. "high quality textures" is not how I would describe the VC. The VC text is also not legible using MSAA. You can tell this is true because of the disappointment in the VC textures in MSFS version.

i find the short turn state in the NGX really helps a lot because a lot of things that need to be checked / set are already done making setup a lot faster focusing on the FMC
