April 24, 201313 yr I'm loving this bird, but having read the System Manual, I still know nothing of the proper way to fly this bird. We need ASAP the advanced tutorial that was written by a RL Q400 Pilot from your team, it's going to make us appreciate even more this bird. Many of the issues you're having people reporting as Bugs is probably due to them not flying the aircraft correctly, and the Advanced Tutorial will make life much easier for your support team. That Simple Tutorial that came with the Dash8 is a Joke, sorry but it's the truth, that thing doesn't belong with a product on this magnitude, it's far too good for that. I know there are videos online teaching how to fly the Dash 8, but we need someone used to flying this everyday to be able to learn the proper way, reading the manual and checklist alone doesn't cut it. Thanks! Hope you can bring us that Tutorial quickly! Amazing Product Alexis Mefano
April 24, 201313 yr Author I'm loving this product, but It's currently in the Hangar because I don't like to fly planes in a way they're not supposed to be flown. It's a very different simulation than what we're used to with our Boeing's addons. I admit I'm spoiled since the last addon I purchased came with a 98 pages tutorial! B) Don't take me wrong, this is one of my favorites addons already! I'm just anxious to be able to do my Legs without having to fight the computers every time. Alexis Mefano
April 24, 201313 yr Start, takeoff and land. No problem. Its preety much automated and tells you what to set everything at. Manual? We don't need no steeeking manual..

April 25, 201313 yr Author Maybe I can practice how to land this bird without making a hole on the ground while you guys work on it then. Didn't mean to offend the people who made this awesome addon and the tutorial, but it needs to go deeper than that for us folks who don't have any experience of flying a turboprop as advanced as this. April 25, 201313 yr Commercial Member The upcoming tutorial is more in-depth than the released tutorial, which was designed to get you in the aircraft and have one perform a basic flight without over-whelming you (granted there were a few changes to the Arrival after the tutorial was written). April 25, 201313 yr Just make sure to not forget adding the "how not to come in too fast, bounce 3000 down the runway, veer off into trees, kill everyone onboard" section. Thanks! Sent from my Apple communications device. William Sequeira
April 25, 201313 yr Commercial Member That you will have to do on your own.......every pilot has to adopt their own technique for their chariot  KROSWYND a.k.a KILO_WHISKEYMajestic Software Development/Support Sys 1: AMD 7950X3D, NOCTUA D15S, Gigabyte Elite B650, MSI 4090, 64Gb Ram, Corsair 850 Power Supply, 2x2TB M.2 Samsung 980s, 1x4TB WDD M.2, 6xNoctua 120mm case fans, LG C2 55" OLED running at 120Hz for the monitor, Win11. April 25, 201313 yr With the Checklists, And the basic tutorial I have found that enough to be able to perform a basic point to point flight glitch free. While an advanced tutorial will be great, I don't feel it is as desperately needed as many here claim. I even managed to grease it to the runway in Montreal which left me grinning for hours. Truly an addictive bird.

April 25, 201313 yr Author If I ever call any aircraft a "bird", someone has my permission to shoot me. (figuratively) English is not my first language. Isn't that a common way to refer to an aircraft? I think you mean it's a way people who doesn't understand much refer to them, is that it? Well, I can fly the Dash without crashing it, but I don't know the proper way to configure the VNAV, how to use the changing pitch of the propeller to my advantage, I'm flying this airplane as I would fly a Jet, and I'm sure there are a lot of differences between them. Yes, it's a perfectly fine way to refer to any aircraft. It's just one of those cliche's that grate on me. I don't even know why. Forget I said it. Good Luck flying your "bird" Dennis Trawick Screen Shot Forum Rules
April 25, 201313 yr I don't think this "bird" too complicated. It's pretty automated. Condition Levers and Power Levers have detents, it's all FADEC. There is a very good post about VNAV in another thread, but I personally fly without it. B) Mauricio Brentano
