Thanks for the info. I think I will just go 757.

Hello all, I'm just getting into xplane and while I was looking for aircraft Peter's A380 caught my eye. From what I have seen and read the systems modeling seem quite well. The main question I have is how is the 3D cockpit. I don't like 2D and if the 3D cockpit doesn't hold up that is a deal breaker. Also is the FMS well modeled because if it is not I will end up buying the 757.

Thanks guys I also found a cool website that does it for you http://aerotexas.com/desplan/desplan.php

Hey guys, I recently bought the Coolsky DC-9 and it is great. But I am so use to computerized flight systems and because of this I have no idea when to start my descent in this thing (Kind of embarrassing). So as simple as it might be, I need a bit of help.

Thanks for the replies guys...I'll check the a300 out.

Hey everyone, I was just wondering if there was a decent a310 out there.
-
I just took it for a spin, very nice aircraft.

Try contacting their support. PMDG has some of the best and fastest support in the flight sim world.

I was looking around but I didn't find anything, maybe someone has had better luck.

Milviz if you want to fly the -200. QWsim is making a classic that will be 'less complicated' than the pmdg one. Personally I think setting up the FMC is part of the fun but I think it is going to be hard to find something with a high quality VC but with simplistic features. maybe Captain sim but that is another -200 and -100

It's easy to choose the right runways, just look at the winds and listen to the metars before hand. and the AIRAC is available for very cheap on navigraphs website.

FSDT is really good on frames, or so I have heard. There is Flytampa KBOS (really good) also Flaytampa Montreal. (if you don't mind flying out of Canada) This one isn't north east but I heard Taxi2gate's KMCO is also good. oh, and Flightbeam's KIAD looks amazing. -
Sometimes this hobby is frustrating as heck!

If you haven't done this already I highly recommend tweaking your fsx.cfg using Kostas's tweaks http://#####.wordpress.com/fsx-software-and-hardware-guide/ -
LVLD all the way.
