Ryanair Dreamliner Repaint

Featured Replies

Hi guys,I am in desperate need of a repaint for the Overland model, in Ryanair's Dreamliner livery (EI-DCL).Tom Collins did a superb paint of this some time ago, but was lost in the infamous AVSIM hack, and has not been entered back to the library.I've asked Tom a few times over the past 6 months if he can reupload this paint, but unfortunately he is very busy on other projects. If anyone has this paint, could they PM me.Many thanks in advance,Chris.

Dunno whether this would help with your search, but that blue and white paint job you see on Boeings, and which the Ryanair paint job is a variation of, is more correctly referred to as the Boeing Commercial Aircraft (BCA) scheme rather than the Dreamliner livery. At least that's what Boeing generally call it.For any fact fans out there who might like some trivia about the BCA scheme: It was initially called the Horizons scheme by Boeing staff, because it was based on a colour scheme first seen in their 'Boeing Horizons' series of ads. Whilst its introduction roughly coincided with the launch of Dreamliner as a concept when that was still generally referred to as the '7E7', the BCA scheme first made it into the air on a B737-900 purchased by Korean Air in 2004, which is a long time before the first 787 was anything much more than a set of jigs and blueprints and a big stack of parts. Before that Korean 737 had the paint job, the first actual vehicle with the BCA scheme was in fact a truck, one of several that were painted up by Boeing to help them launch the paint scheme, but 'the Boeing GMC 2 ton box van livery' doesn't have a very good ring to it LOLAl

I should point out also that it is for the Boeing 737-800W model.

I'm curious as to why exactly you could have a "desperate need" for a livery.Care to elaborate?

Some call this the "Worldliner" livery. LOL.gif
