Can't hear my self

Recommended Posts

Hello,I have a problem that I can not figure out. Before I start fs9 I can hear my self through my mike, sounds like breathing and talking. However, when I fire up FS9 and load either the 737 or 767 I can no longer hear sounds from my mike. I still have sounds through the earphones by nothing from my mike. Whene I go and look at my sound settings Vista 64 shows sounds comming through my mike. As of now I can not interact with the voice controls of FS Crew. Any ideas?Thank you,R Jones

Hi,Does the "Voice" button stay on after you load the FS2Crew panel? If it doesn't stay on, it means there is a problem with your speech recognition system. But I assume it's set to English - US (not UK!) so you should be okay.If the Voice button stays on, then you're going to have to go into your Windows Control Panel and take a look at your audio hardware setup for your microphone.Make sure you run the Windows Voice Training. If you can run the Voice Training, it means your mic is setup properly.Best,

Thank you,It seems to be working. To me, though, it is very strange. When I turn off the "voice" button I can her the sounds from my mike but when I turn the "voice" on I can not hear the sounds, but FS Crew is responding. For now I am happy that everything is working.R Jones

You hear sounds from your mic? Check your hardware audio options in Windows Control panel for your Mic. There's an option in Properties for your Mic called "Listen to this Device"... make sure it's unchecked.
