Default VC view angle

Featured Replies

Hi. Well I finally got a joystick with FSX.I got a separate yoke to view around in VC. However when I let go of the yoke, the default view ahead is too much upwards. I can't see any of the instruments. Now I know you can change this with ctrl+q, but when it ouch the yoke it goes back up again. I also now you can change this in aircraft.cfg, but i don't wanna change 1000 aircraft.cfgs. (it's different per AC)Can I use FSUIPC or something to autohold the joke down or something? Thanks

I have the Go-Flight yoke (one only) and am running FSX. Without any additional set up, when in virtual cockpit or external 'spot' views the red 'top hat' button on the left handle provides a 360 degree rotating view which, once selected, remains until the button is moved again.I don't know which yoke you are using but I wonder, have you calibrated it? Is the mouse yoke disabled - this might cause conflict?Apart from that no other ideas - good luck.Roger

I'm using a PS3 controller. It has 2 yokes. I use the left for aileron/elevator, and the right one to look around in the VC. When I let go of the yoke it returns to its default position, therefore the view also returns to its default position. Now I'd like this default position to look downwards a bit, as if I'm pushing down on the yoke. Thanks

The default forward view is set in the cameras.cfg file and applies to all aircraft. Adjust InitialPbh (pitch is the first number). I have mine at 10 for the virtual cockpit view.
