November 27, 201015 yr Okay, here's one for you. Many will be aware that you can pre-order the Just Flight 'lite' Airbus A319 and A318 models for under a tenner if you do so before the end of November (in fact I got them for less than that because I blew some of my loyalty points on them). Now, they are 'lite' products, so I know they will be like my JF FSX A320, i.e. a nice model with good sound (for the most part) and a pretty VC with good FPS, but somewhat simplified avionics. So, here's the question: If you were going to rip some of the gauges out of the JF Airbus in an attempt make it more realistic, what would you do?I'm personally leaning towards merging it with the Wilco one in some fashion and maybe throwing some ISG stuff in there too, but is there anything else out there that would do a better job than that?Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
November 29, 201015 yr I would expect you to run into some problems trying to mix up two different developers work. I have the JF A320 and I think it flys just fine. I bought it while waiting for the Aerosoft A320x. I passed up the A318 and A319 deal because I expect them to be 99% duplicates of the JF A320. Same team, same company, same quarter. All 3 planes are already in the same Airbus family so what would you expect for differences between the 3 from JF? I agree the price is right except they will hold the extra liveries back as an extra purchase just like they did on the A320.Ray When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .
November 29, 201015 yr Author What I'm thinking at the moment is to sling some of the displays from the Wilco ones into the JF VC, which should be possible. The idea being, to get the enhanced realism of the displays of the Wilco but the frame rates of JF Airbus, it being a more recent dedicated FSX bird.Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
November 29, 201015 yr I hope it works for you. I have the Wilco A400M and is has some absolutely butt ugly panels in the VC that I wish I could change out with some cousin in the Airbus family. The PFD, MFD, etc are crisp and clear, the AP and Comm panels look like pre-2002 stuff, so does the pedestal.Ray When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .
December 1, 201015 yr I'd grab up several displays from the Aerosoft Airbus X package and slap them over on the Just Flight A320, including the FMC. Sounds are not included however; they are default of Just Flight's original packaging.Dave. December 1, 201015 yr Author That's not going to be possible for me, since I don't actually have the Aerosoft version of the A320. Even if I did have it, it doesn't make much sense to do that, since the Aerosoft one is effectively also a 'lite' treatment of the Airbus just as the JF one is. The Aerosoft 'Bus is undoubtedly prettier than the JF one, which in itself is meritorious for those who want that aspect, but as far as systems go, it's no more realistic than the JF version where systems are concerned.Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
