CYXU London, Ontario Secenry

Featured Replies

Hi,I've been looking for a good scenery add-on for FSX lately for London, Ontario. (CYXU) because the in-game scenery for it is just atrocious. The only result that I found was actually here on AVSIM, however it is for FS9. I've heard that only parts of it work in FSX, and is not fully compatible. Does anybody know of any scenery files for CYXU that work in FSX? Or, does anybody know a fix to the problem with the FS9 file? any help is greatly appreciated.Regards, i_am_canadian737

Nope. I flew in and out of YXU in real life for my PPL. I wanted a scenery to prepare with the flight. I used it in FS9 but it doesn't work well in FSX...same with windsor CYQG (made by the same guy). I wish there where more Canadian Aiports in FSX. You got Blueprint (CYYZ CYUL).....awaful I have both. Sim Addons makes a CYOW CYHZ and a couple others...whihc are good but FPS killer. Anyways if you find anything good let me know.Ron Hamilton

Hi Ron, I kind of forgot about this topic Whistle.gif I didn't find anything for CYXU unfortunately, but I did find something for CYYZ. I'm sure you've heard of it (maybe you have it) but It's CYYZ2007. It works great in fsx and the FPS don't get hurt that much. I also found a CYOW one a while ago somewhere that is great, not sure if it's for FS9 or not, or where I got it from. It's a shame there aren't more Canadian sceneries around, (or any scenery for fsx rather) but I guess if you look hard enough there are some that work. CanUK's CYYC is also great, and apparently there's a guy making CYVR for FS9 and later FSX which looks absolutely stunning, not sure if it's payware but it looks like it's going to be freeware. What I've been looking for lately is CYWG and CYEG; so far not much. It seems most are just AFCADs and not actual custom sceneries like many FS9 sceneries. Well, hopefully I found something interesting and if you (or anyone else reading this topic) have anything interesting let me know. Sorry I got back so late, kinda left fsx for a bit in between now and then. Cheers, Matthew.

Hi guys, Adding to the list, there's the FlightOntario group that has lots of small airports and landclass, unfortunately most of their work was released for FS9 but they already have a few FSX sceneries. But yeah, Dennis deFranco's CYYZ2007 and all CanUK's airports are the best along with SimmAddons which last time that I checked was doing CYWG. The good, or wonderfull news is that flyTampa is making CYUL, so we are about to have our first top developer canadian airport for FSX. (with all the respect to other developers cited above) regards,Igor
