EZdok Profiles

Featured Replies

I'm wondering why nobody seems to be uploading there EZdok files to Avsim. Anyways I having a pretty tough go at getting this setup for the 747X and the MD11, if anyone has a profile they would like to share or knows where to get some please let me know.

I'm kind of surprised as well. I figured the Avsim library would be full of EZdok camera uploads by know. I think the only reason its not is either because a lot of people are just using the default camera settings that it provides, or they dont really know how to tweak it and haven't made anything special. However, for the 747 I just tweaked the preset profile to get rid of some of the excessive Z axis movement and dont use RND at all in the main VC pilot point of view camera, just DHM. I have and using the default EZdok 747 camera views for the over head and left FMC. Most of the other views I haven't gotten around to messing with yet.In the JS4100, I did about the same as the 747. Frankly the only a/c that I really did a lot with was the LDS 767, which after buying the PMDG 747 in Oct, I haven't even flown since then. The good news is thet for the PMDG 737 NGX, Ryan said that he or the team had planned on releasing a set of Ezdok cameras for it once its released. Which is good news because they will probably have better insight on how much ground roll shake and other movent would be a accurate representation of that a/c.Sean Campbell

I will post a profile for the MD11 later on (no promises). I created this using a setup which was posted in the FLIGHT1 EZDOK forum and I tweaked it for the MD11. I guess the reason people do not post profiles is that it is a lot of work and time that needs to be spent on that. Hours on hours. Also, who knows really how the profile should behave? In my mind one of the issues with EZCA is that nobody really knows what to put in it to somehow reflect the vibrations during roll and flight.... It is completely subjective and a matter of personal taste/liking and not based on anything out of reality.Benny K

Thanks guys, the main problem I was having was with the take off and landing effects, so I decided that for the MD11 and 747 I would use the the ezdok profile for the default 747 then just edit the camera views, really happy with it now. I don't advise anyone to try to read and understand this program so late at night it can really melt your brainbiggrin.gif

I agree. I spent literally hours and days working on the landing and takeoff roll effects on my LDS 767. I finally got so frustrated with it that I asked Marniftarr on the EZdok forum for help. I posted a youtube video of a 767 landing with a view from the cockpit. In the video it had a little camera shake and vibration that I wanted to match up with EZdok. He made me a VC cam with about the same effects as in the video and uploaded it for me. I then took it and modified it a bit myself and have been happy ever since with my LDS767 profile. Now I just need to work a little more on my 747 config as far as landing and takeoff roll. I have found that using the RND button for ground effects works well as long as you keep the knobs to very small settings and alsoset all the knobs in the RND flight setions to Zero and use DHM for actual in flight effects based off of wind and turbulence.Sean Campbell
