December 4, 201015 yr I just had an interesting situation occur and I am hoping someone else has had a similiar experence and has resolved this issue. I downloaded and ran QLRP4UT.exe. The installer placed the "QLRP4UT" folder in my "Addon Scenery" folder within fs9. I then started fs9 and went to settings -> scenery library. Once there, I clicked on "add area" and navigated to the "addon scenery" folder. I double-clicked the "addon scenery" folder to open it and then I selected the "QLRP4UT" folder. At this time I see the following: the "directory" box contains the full directory path to the "QLRP4UT" folder (C:\Program Files(x86)\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\Addon scenery\QLRP4UT) and the "scenery area title" box contains "QLRP4UT". When I click on "OK" to bring that scenery folder into my library the "directory" box goes blank with the cursor blinking in it as though the pgm wants me to type in the full directory path. If I do re-type in the full directory path I get a message back saying "\Addon scenery\QLRP4UT can not be found". Any suggestions and/or guidance would be greatly appreciated. I am running Windows7 (64bits). Incidently, UTUSA and UTCANADA both installed correctly into my library. Thanks for the assistance! John John

JohnThere is a known "bug" in Win 7 which makes adding any scenery a bit more difficult that what we have been used to doing. Here are two resources which will explain how it needs to be done:http://forums.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?t=205432This includes pictures. Also a very good video showing the procedure:http://iblueyonder.com/video-tutorial-adding-scenery-to-fsx-in-windows-7/Hope that helps.
December 4, 201015 yr Author Hi Opa,Thank you very much for your suggestion and the information. I viewed both the written tutorial and the video demonstrating the same technique. Unfortunately, in my case anyway, the fix did not work. When I left-click in the "target area" nothing happens. If I right-click in the "target area" I get the normal right-click window. Back to square one I guess.John John

December 4, 201015 yr Just open the scenery (ie inside "settings>add area>etc etc etc) then click the scenery you want to add and open it. Once inside the folder of that scenery, click "OK". After clicking OK, click anywhere inside the folder of that addon scenery and it should come up in your scenery library.
December 4, 201015 yr Author Thank you very much, Gentlemen. Opa, I appreciate your suggestion regarding the UAC. I disabled that function and re-installed the scenery. Boeingsta, you provided the final bit of knowledge that had been missing. It had not dawned on me to click "OK" first and then click on the "target area". Once I did that everything went as it should. I thank you both for your kindness and your willingness to help. John John
