GentsI am having, a serious problem with my Saitek Pedals. Eeverytime I apply the brakes with my Saitek Pedals, the brake remains locked...And on the Windows bottom left it says brake. I have tried and tried many things for the past week and I am unable to find a solution to this. Now, I am unable to fly becuase the brakes remain "Locked-on" I will greatly appreciate it if you can provide me any type of guidelines how to resolve this.. I have a Saitek Pedals and Yoke.---- I tried to post this question with Satek but their web-site is not accpeting new registrations..___ I would appreciate if you guys can asssit me in corredcting this problem. Many thnaks,John

Hi John,I do not own the Saitek pedals you have so I cannot look at the problem first hand. Just a couple of questions. 1. Do these pedals require outside drivers/software that must run during FSX?.2. Are the pedals calibrated?.3. Are the pedals setup as an axis assignment as well as Buttons/Switches?. The pedals may require both, it may have an Axes assignment for the rudder and push buttons for the brakes. The pedals may also have the capability of independent braking, if that's the case each brake (Left & Right) needs to be setup independently within FSX.If your not sure, go to FSX's top menu bar and go to the following:OPTIONS / SETTINGS / CONTROLSNow open "BUTTONS/KEYS" and in the controller type, highlight/select your pedals. Now look to see if any joystick commands are associated with your pedals, pay particular attention to FSX's Brakes "apply/release" or Brakes (apply left & apply right). Also look to see if the repeat setting is on. If no joystick is assigned, this may be your problem. If there is no entry, double left mouse click on Brakes (apply/release) and then press the toe brakes on your rudder pedals, you should now see a new assignment, see if that works. If the rudder pedals you have, have the ability for independent braking, set you pedals using the following:1. Double left mouse click Brakes (apply left) - Then press the left toe brake - you should now see a new assignment.2. Double left mouse click Brakes (apply right) - Then press the right tow brake - you should now see a new assignment. If the settings are correct and you still have a problem, try removing the joystick commands and Axes assignments associated with your pedals from within FSX and see if the brakes release. If they release, reinstall the pedals and see if the problem returns. If the problem returns you can try the following, this will require a registered copy of FSUIPC. You can try adding your pedals via FSUIPC and remove the settings from FSX and see if the problem is gone.Last but certainly not least, Are you sure your pedals are capable of both rudder control and braking the aircraft?.Hope this helps

Hi Miachael Thank you for taking the time in answering my questions:--- The Saitek Pedals/Rudder does not require a spesific software from them to make it work. According to Saitek it's a plug and play.--- Yes, the Pedals are calibrated--- I have set-up the axies correctlty within the the FSX "Cpontgrol Axis), and select left toe and right toe.--- There are no brake or pedals assigments within the YOKE-- only the padals.--- NOTE: Whenver I unplug the the Pedals from the USB port the problem goes away.. I can use my keyboard fine for braking; but as soon as I plug in the Saitek Pedals/Rudders, the "red brake" sign imediately appears on the left screen window and the barkes o the airplanes are locked---- I don't know if this is a CFG file issue or what it is....It was working fine untill 3 days ago.---- Is the FSUIPC, free or is it a paid software ?John

Which manuals? This did come with any manuals, niether does the CD has any instructions.

Hi John,FSUIPC is payware and is available via http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.htmlI own PFC's column yoke and VRAC's Boeing throttle quad as well as pedals. I run all my Axes and button/rocker switches through FSUIPC, I do not allow FSX to control any of my hardware. Its a nice utility and I find it to be worth every penny, but that is a decision you will have to make.Have you tried leaving the pedals plugged in and just removing the Brake axes from within FSX, does that get rid of the brake problem?.Wish I could be more helpful, but as I said I do not own the product.

i had this problem bacause i did not read the manual, if you did not get the manual then i suggest you return it to the retailer and tell them it came with incomplete documentation.paraphrased from the manual;Move sensitivity to the right, move null zone about 3 notches from the left end, reverse both toe brake axis.

You need to set the brake axes sensibility to the max value in the Flight simulator controls page (select Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals and advanced option). :wink:Mauro
