wide panel option only for passengers version?

Featured Replies

Hi all,On load manager I set up the wide screen option but it changed only the passengers version. It did not affect the 2D cargo version. How can I do the same for the cargos? Thanks,Christos

Hi Christos I can only go of the FSX version, but in FSX the cargo aircrafts panel.cfg file calls up the passenger versions panel configuration file, so any changes to the passenger versions configuration file would be reflected in the cargo version, as the cargo version does not have a separate panel of it’s own.I must admit though I have not tried this, as I do not have a wide screen set-up, so I have never had the occasion to try it.Jim Hodkinson

Hi Jim,Checked the aircraft.cfg and only the passenger version had been changed to panel=WidePanel from the load manager entry for widescreen.Cargos remained unchanged. I manually changed them all was ok.Christos

If you look in the SimObjects folder the MD-11 and MD-11F are in two separate folders. They do in fact have separate panel entries, although the MD-11F just references the MD-11's panel folder. In any case, however, you will need to set the widescreen option for each model (once for passenger and once for the freighter). You will also need to set it if you add a new livery, so it is a good habit to just set it when you are loading the aircraft as part of selecting the model, adjusting the load, adding fuel and saving.

And just to add , make sure you set the panel to "Normal" before adding a new livery, and then to "widescreen after as Kyle said
