Hi,CPU usage of 100 % is normmal when running FS2002 or FS2004! I would be concerned if ti was not 100 %! :-)Wolfgang

But mine often winds up to 100% and then temporarily freezes the sim for a while .... a minute or two sometimes .... fans whir, noises happen, until it all calms down again in due course. It CAN'T be overheating, surely, on a bog-standard Compaq 1.8GHZ 512MB RAM unit? In a cold room (if I stopped flying and chatting in these forums for a while, I'd put in some insulation, LOL ... just as well I've got the flying jacket and goggles).
