December 6, 201015 yr I was just looking at the amazing screenshots and was wondering why the LCD screens are blue and not black? Is this because this is only an "in development" shot. I've noticed other add-ons also have the blue screens when their real world counterparts are black. Just wondering, I'm sure that with PMDG's level of detail and reputation that there is a good reason for this.Sarah Guiney.
December 6, 201015 yr They're like that because LCD back-lighting causes a blue tint in the screen. I'm sure this will be adjustable. Erik L.
December 6, 201015 yr That's about the only complaint I had with the 744/8. Their screens look too black. I know that the LCD's are not the ultra modern panels used in todays Samsung and LG TVs so their black is too black for an LCD. The pics I see all have the bluish tint, gives the feeling of looking at a lighted display or a light source. I'm so happy the NGX has that feature! Take a look at the attached picture, pay attention to the LCD display on the right.Chidiebere Anyahara Chidiebere Anyahara

As you turn it down they become blacker - this is all simulated in the NGX.That's about the only complaint I had with the 744/8. Their screens look too black. Our 747-8 is a visual model and soundset only, we didn't do the cockpit - it's using the CRT screens from the 400X panel.2. The screen on the right has a ton of glare from light sources reflecting on it, plus LCDs become lighter the shallower your viewing angle to the screen is - try it with your monitor.
