  1. You people have hijacked my topic! . Joking of course, very interesting to hear Mr. O'Cadhains "a day in the life" kind of stories.
  2. Did'nt think so as I have no handling issues with the aircraft. Thanks Jason.
  3. Since I have never owned any rudder hardware, and use the saitek yoke and throttles, I have always left autorudder selected in the fsx menu, I have heard that this interferes with the NGXs' yaw damper. Any ideas on this?
  4. wow, what a wealth of knowledge from what I thought would be a simple question, simple answer. Thanks to everyone.
  5. I know it is common practice to start the right (2) engine first, just wondering what is the reason for this? Not disagreeing with it at all, just trying to expand my knowledge. Thanks
  6. I do remember RSR saying a while back that the NGX cockpit is going to take some getting used to. I guess, like RSR also said, I am just a victim of years of bad modelling. Sarah
  7. oops, i signed my first post then forgot the rest. Should make a signature. Sarah Guiney
  8. So yes, I haven't been fortunate enough to be in a real 737 flight deck yet, so when all I have to go by is pictures and videos, not from flickr or a friends photo I might add, and I have a question as to the modelling, I am obviously going to ask. Thats how we learn, we ask. Its not what was said that bothered me, rather the fact that instead of just not replying or just saying, yes the modelling is correct, pictures are deceiving at certain angles, he had to stick is nose in the air high and mighty and reply like he did. Anyways, this as gone on long enough. My question was answered and I'm done with this topic.
  9. Since I only asked if the VC modelling was a abit off and never said it was, I did think the response was harsh and unwarranted, but I myself have lashed at others when unneeded and thats life. As for the more friendlier responses, I guess I did forget the fact that most cockpit pictures are taken from the door area and it would look different sitting in the seat and I retract my statement.
  10. Just wondering if anybody else has noticed that the VC Model "seems" to be off a little bit. I say "seems" because I have never been in a real 737, only seen pictures so I don't know for sure. The window area between the glaresheild and overhead seems to be too big. In pictures and videos, it seems much smaller and slimmer than this. It just seems that the overall VC should be "stretched" out a little bit. Hope you understand what I'm trying say here. Maybe this is what RSR was referring to when he said they have an updated VC model for the SP. I would like to say again, I have never been in a real 737 cockpit, so I'm not saying it is wrong, just looks like it from pictures and videos I've seen, so please don't crap on me. Thanks Sarah Guiney
  11. At touchdown I noticed this bright light on one side of the aircraft, seems to me it is supposed to be my landing light reflection. Anybody seen it like this before? Please disregard as I am having trouble with screenshot and don't know how to delete this post.
  12. I have followed MrKens advice and read Ryans Nvidia configuration guide and problem solved, textures now look 100% better. Thank you to everyone for the help.
  13. correct AA? please excuse my ignorance on the subject as I am not too familiar with this stuff.
  14. Hey everyone. I was hoping I could get some help with my NGX. The external textures seem to be a bit jagged around edges, almost as if Anti-aliasing isn't on. A forum search lead me to a post about using video card anti-aliasing and turning off FSX anti-aliasing, but this did not work for me, unless I didn't do it right. I am using a Nvidia 8800GT card if that helps in helping me. I know this is an issue on my end and not PMDG as I've seen videos and the textures look perfect. Hope someone could help me. Thanks. Sarah Guiney.
  15. no problem, i've edited my post to include the link in case you had trouble finding it. Happy flying.
  16. just do a forum search for "hotfix". I had the same problem about an hour ago and I found it that way. Here you go http://downloads.precisionmanuals.com/file_library/PMDG_737-8900_NGX_2987_Hotfix.ZIP
  17. I agree as well. I posted in an earlier topic about the same thing and I said that I am willing to bet almost everyone in this forum has sat in his/her desk in school, with the textbook right in front of them and then raised their hand to ask a question that could have been answered by doing their homework. I am pretty sure that this is the reason for these forums, along with technical support from developers. Lets just bring this forum back to what I used to love about flightsim.... the friendly and helpful community. I am going to do my part, so here is my promise. If anyone has any questions about operations or flying the aircraft and are afraid of a RTFM reply, PM me and I will be glad to help you and if I don't have the answer, I will look it up right away and let you know and we'll both learn something. So please, feel free. Sarah Guiney Shoud clarify that I will help with operating and/or flying the aircraft including systems/FMC operation, and not with technical support as I will leave that to the talented team at PMDG.
  18. you are very close Etienne, $24.99 is what was listed when the Base pack was released. Thanks again for the Sunwing livery... still enjoying that.
  19. I found the same thing with my Ejets Embraer. Attempted to make a flight with it the other day, since it was the only aircraft I really flew before NGX, and it is ruined now. The only way I found to resolve this is to take a small hiatus from the NGX.... yeah right, quitting smoking is easier.
  20. Di, can you please stop policing the forums so much and leave it to the actual moderators. If you must insist, there are about 5 or more different topics on the upcoming service pack which all have the same content. The guy was only asking a question and I don't see the harm in it. Sarah Guiney
  21. are you aware that at this moment, there are not many people I like more than you right now. Thank you for the hard work.
  22. that looks to be perfect, just email me the file rather than wait for avsim and i'll finally take her out tonight. ;)
  23. I whole-heartily agree. You'll get some who will tell you to RTFM, but they seem to forget they too were once in grade school and asking questions with the text book right in front of them. I have always been pleased with the support on this forum.
  24. that would be perfect actually. Thank you much. No real rush for it, I know you have a life outside of FS.
