FSUIPC and NGX = Smooth as Butter - Well Almost!
+1 I have been doing this since I first purchased my Saitek setup. It isn't realistic, but it is a close as you can get.

UNABLE CRZ ALT
It could be because your top of descent is going to be reached before your top of climb.

Who wants the NGX on P3D?
I think that the real thing to consider is if LM is actually interested in us hobbyists. If every serious flight simmer in the world ponied up $500, it still would amount to less that what any of the many governments around the world give them for one F-16. Think about where they are really marketing their products: It isn't to us. They are in the business of selling as many multi-million dollar aircraft around the world as possible (C-5, C-130/L-100/L-382, C-141, F-16, F-22 Raptor, F-35, P-3/L-188/S-3 and the U-2. Plus all of the many systems they sell in support of these plus the out of manufacture legacy aircraft they still support, ATC and radar systems, space exploration, fire control systems and all of the other things they do are extremely valuable. Investing in hobbyist flight simulation is at the bottom of the list for them. As somebody said, I think they are letting people use Prepar3d to test what will eventually be a very advanced military simulation that we will never get to see. If it was purely a flight simulator, why put in coding for submersibles, unless you want to send your P-3 after a Kilo-class sub, which we have affordable military flight simulators to do for us. Did you ever wonder why Microsoft suddenly gave up one of what had to be one of their most profitable divisions, Aces Studio? Just maybe, it was because Lockheed Martin saw the potential of FSX for a full blown military simulator and offered Bill more than he could refuse for the license and apparently a number of contracts of the programmers at Aces. Anyhow, take your shots at me, but also think about this. Lockheed Martin is not in the hobby business. They are in the war fighting business, and they are good at it.

I guess you missed the sarcasm.

Who wants the NGX on P3D?
As much of my tax money that has been sucked up by LM when the US govt buys new aircraft from them, they should offer every single American taxpayer a subscription to this thing for free.

Be easier to give you a break if you had given the OP a break...jeeze that was rude ugly and totally uncalled for.

Oopsie
I'll bet there were a lot of unies DXed at the airport after that flight. Testing the structural integrity with that maneuver.

Did you turn both packs off first?

Possible throttle issue with HF4?
Thanks for explaining this, Ryan. It totally clears up my questions about the throttle.

No GPS?
Give the guy a break, guys. He just bought his first complex non-default aircraft for FSX.

Possible throttle issue with HF4?
Come to think of it, I noticed this when I flew the tutorial again to test the HF. I inadvertantly moved the throttle lever forward and the ac began accelerating at full throttle, I just instinctively throttled back to idle and it returned to ARM mode.

Why?
I am asking why so many of you think this forum has become a place to snap of snide and/or churlish remarks aimed at other people. That is completely unhelpful and has no place in this forum. If your only response to somebody's problem is "RTFM", then you are a part of the problem. This forum used to be a friendly place where people wanted to post questions about help because they got friendly and helpful answers. Also, you people who need help, your questions have often been phrased as attacks on PMDG rather than honest questions looking for support. If you need help then explain your problem well, include helpful information and hopefully you will get your problem settled without harrassing and unnecessary responses from someone who feels the need to express a superiority issue over others. I don't know how many of you have noticed this, but it seems like all or most of the real-world pilots have stopped responding or posting in this forum and I feel that it is do to the childish and churlish behavior of some churls who have unfortunately become regulars in this forum. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!
