December 9, 201015 yr Hi,What do you think of the saitek radio panel? I read that tuning frequencies was a mess. Is it true? Did saitek fix this issue?Thank you. My gallery: http://s1075.photobucket.com/albums/w430/yankeegolf/
February 13, 201115 yr I havve found them OK they are so good I now have 2 unitstop Radio2nd Nav 1 or 23rd course 4th sqwk
February 13, 201115 yr Author Hi,I ended up buying one and I like it very much. I use the Spad drivers which solve the issues that people have with the saitek drivers. I also bought the multi pnal which is great for autopilot function selection. I recommend them. My gallery: http://s1075.photobucket.com/albums/w430/yankeegolf/
February 16, 201115 yr Just use SPAD and it works fine.Sorry to but in, but on the Multi-Panel, can the flap lever be used for 'incremental' selection, or is it just up & down? February 16, 201115 yr Author Hi,It is incremental. In fact I don't use this function. With the Spad driver, you can disable any switch, knob, whatever and use another control. It is a nice feature. I use a saitek throttle quadrant in conjunction with fsuipc. I have assigned one lever for landing gear, one for flaps and one for speed brakes. I find it very realistic to have big levers for those functions, like in a real aircraft. My gallery: http://s1075.photobucket.com/albums/w430/yankeegolf/
February 17, 201115 yr So have another throttle? Windows 10 (x64) - X-Plane 11 - M/B: Asus ROG Maximus IX Hero - CPU: i7 7700k (@5.0GHz) - RAM: 32Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 @ 3200MHz - Video: GTX1080ti - Cooling: Custom water loop (EK 140 Revo D5 pump/res combo, EK EVO CPU block, EK XE360 Rad)
February 17, 201115 yr Author So have another throttle?Hi,I've 2 of them for throttles because I often fly twin engine aircraft (2 levers for throttle, 2 for pitch, 2 for mixture). I have a total of 3 saitek throttle quadrants, 1 MCP panel, 1 radio panel and 1 switch panel. I no longer use the switch panel because I don't find it useful. I prefer to use the throttles buttons and program them with FSUIPC. My gallery: http://s1075.photobucket.com/albums/w430/yankeegolf/
February 17, 201115 yr Okay, cheers. For what it's worth by the way, for those looking for hardware, by far the best prices i've seen in the UK for this kit are http://www.afterhours.co.uk/I believe they also have a USA outlet.I'm not normally one for 'promoting' companies, but i've also had BRILLIANT service from these guys. I had a faulty X52 flight stick. I'd lost all the original packing and disks etc, but they didn't even hesitate. No questions asked, they simply replaced the whole thing.I was impressed. it's now I'll be ordering my stuff for now.
