Taxiing With traffic x

Featured Replies

Ok I usually don't bother to taxi and just do all of my stuff on the runway I also don't do cold startups. I follow the ATC instructions and get to a line of planes, and am moving with the line, and a plane just runs into mine from the side and doesn't bother stopping, if I waited till there were no aircraft at Frankfurt, I'd be sitting there till the world ended, short of that, what do I do? I like having traffic, I just wish it were aware enough to stop rather than run into my plane

It's most likely not a fault of the AI from Traffic X, but a fault of the ADE or AFCAD file you are using for the airport. All the AI can do is follow the taxiways laid out from the AFCAD itself. If the ADE/AFCAD file isn't very good or setup to promote good traffic flows then you can get stuck. If your using the stock EDDF look in the Avsim library for some replacement ADEs by Ray Smith, Jim Cook, or anyone else for that matter and try a different one and see if that improves things. I know there is a guy who has done a lot of work on the stock EDDF to enhance it and his work is in the Avsim library. Just do a search for EDDF or Frankfurt and see what you can find. Just be advised that some of Ray Smiths ADE add a lot of extra objects like cars, trucks, buses, crates, freight, etc, that can result in lower FPS depending on your rig since the default object aren't always as optimized as payware scenery objects. I have had to take some of his ADEs and open them in ADEX and remove some of the little objects and stuff to keep FPS up in some airports.
