Hi Luc, We've sold quite a few copies of the PMDG 747 Voice Version now, and no one else has reported that, so it's tough to guess.I'm using Win 7 64 as well.It's possible, but unlikely, that you have a corrupt download.Did you try re-downloading the software?Best,

Thanks Bryan for your very quick response. I re-downloaded the zip file but same problem. It creates a new directory in apdata/roaming (next to the LDS767 one which works beautifully...). The new 747 fs2crewdata.ini file is:[FS2CrewData]Accent=0Volume=2USBDevice=0AES=0Doors=1GateDep=1GateArr=1PbUnits=0PbDist=4but the installer stops there and the task manager says again "prog not responding"Luc

Hi Luc,I've never seen that behavior before, so I'll throw out guesses..1) Run the installer as an Admin. Not entirely necessary, but it might help.2) Do a virus scan on your computer.3) Even try defragging your drive.4) Make sure Flightsim is *not* running when you install. In fact, shut down all non essential processes.Most importantly: 5) Try re-installing the Level-D 767 version. The 747 version uses the exact same installer as the 747, so if the 767 installer is no longer working as well, you'll know something is bugged on your system.Best,

This is what I did so far:- full scan, no virus- ran LDS installer again: all went well and prog working for LDS 767- tried install the 747 version "as administrator".... no result, it still blocks at 2%I am using FSX. My PMDG747 is up to date. During the last week I installed the winglets on my LDS767, no prob, I installed the latest version of ASE, no prob and a scenery from ORBX, no prob. Bizarre...Luc

Hi Luc,I had the same problem at first!Also win 7 64 bit.I used ccleaner and did a reg scan!Did a restart and installed without using installation with the administrator rights!Don't know why but thats what worked for me!Hope it does for you also!Good luck! Or try to install a DirectX update first and see what happens!Robert!

Both voice commander progs (LDS and 747) are installed and working very well, thanks again ! Bryan I now find it difficult to fly without a co-pilot, so I hope more is on the way... what about MD11, Fokker 100 etc. ??? keep on working.Happy new year,Luc

I have set up a Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit on my computer and now I can't install the FS2CREW 747 Voice Commander

 

First the installer stopped at 2% like described above. Then I run the registry cleaner and now the installer says

 

FS2CREW: PMDG 747 Voice Commander Edition has not been totally installed because of the following reason

Cannot create the following file:
C:\Windows\Fonts\ARIALN.$$\

 

then the installer stops! :huh:

 

Do you have UAC disabled? If so, try that.

 

But I've never seen that installer error before.

Yeah, UAC is disabled. I tried many different things. From activating the admin account to manual registry cleans. Nothing...

 

Last night I tried to start the OS in safeboot mode and install - That's what did the trick!!!

 

If somebody else ever has this problem (win 7 ultimate 64 bit):

 

1. click the windows start button

2. type msconfig

3. go to "start"

4. check "safeboot: minimal"

5. restart windows (it will do a safe boot now)

6. log in and install fs2crew

7. open msconfig the same way you did before and uncheck "safeboot: minimal" under "start"

8. reboot

9. DONE!

I'd suggest doing a clean re-install of Win 7...  something is corrupt or wrong somewhere.
