December 12, 201015 yr Can anyone tell me why the quest kodiac aircraft I purchased from simmarket does not work properly on windows 7. When I start fsx and load the newly installed kodiac ,although The initial screen showing the 2d & 3d cockpit looks fine if I open up an external view or look out the window fron the cockpit vioews, the aircraft is missing 80-90% of the planes looks ( the paint textures. It looks weird with just a moving prop and seats and wheels , with no wings tail etc. My machine is quite high spec so dont think thats the problem, as all the other a/c work fine. Have chose this plane for its g1000 capabilities. Would love to know what I can do to make it right. Jk

December 12, 201015 yr Author No, did not install as administrator, I think, not sure how that works, should that help. Do you mean installing fsx as idministrator, or just the add on?.

Then, when you reinstall it, right click on the .exe setup file and then click on "Run As Administrator." Jon E.
December 12, 201015 yr Author yep just un-installed fsx then installed it as administrator, then installed add-on as administrator, still did`nt work ?.Strange. Read somewhere My windows 7 needs to be up-dated to sp 2, first that is difficuilt as not on internet with my gaming desktop, and am always worried about up-dating to sp 2, unless I really need to. any other ideas. Would really appreciate more help, need this to work as am learning to use g1000 and its up-dated inst panel with its better g1000 panel appeals to me. Just been on http://forums.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?221756-FSX-Aircraft-Texture-Problem, and found same problem, but not sure about the dx10 thing ?.
