:( I keep on getting a message FS9 cant start."FS cannot run because the version of Microsoft DirectX installed is incompatible. Please reinstall DirectX by running FS setup".I have uninstalled FS9 and reinstalled 3 times, but I still get the same error message.Can someone please HELP.Paul :( :(

Hi,I'm having the exact same problem with an incompatible DX9 and FS2004. I've tried, in no particular order; fs9.cfg renewal, reinstalling fs9, reinstalling dx9 runtime, reinstalling dx9 from the fs9 CD, registry tweaks (not recommended as I messed it up) I have the feeling its something to do with a recent windows update cock up.

Tried that one, my PC is set to display any and all updates and allow me to do what I want with them. I've even just tried the sfc/scannow in the cmd prompt, everything is registered OK. FS9 worked, I turned off my PC, then the next time I started my PC and wham, this happens.
