October 27, 200322 yr I'm getting it on all my aircraft. Even tried the default 747 at 33,000 feet on AP at mach .81. Is this normal? billg
October 28, 200322 yr I recall reading that this is indeed normal behavior on a 737..don't know about other aircraft.. Bert
October 28, 200322 yr I dont think there is any one set value, but the amount of pitch required to hold a given altitude will probably vary by weight, air density/pressure altitude and speed. Obviously the heavier and slower you are, the more pitch that is required to hold altitude.I dont really have any experience cruising at flight levels, but you would really have to be clipping along to be able to hold 0 pitch and maintain altitude.Craig
October 28, 200322 yr Microsoft programmed FS9 to not read wing angle of incidence or twist data from the air or cfg file.More information can be found in this forum topic:http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...ing_type=search
October 28, 200322 yr A 5 degree nose up pitch is very standard for an airliner at that elevation. You will always have some nominal positive pitch attitude. At a constant indicated speed, the pitch attitude will increase with altitude due to the decrease in air density.
