That's nice. Unfortunately ASE and RC4 are still reporting the weather at the current location not the weather at the destination. Is nobody else seeing this problem?Jonathan

Hi,Everyone else has reported that things are working well.

Hi,I applied ASE SP2 when it was released a couple of weeks back. Ever since then I have found that the ATIS reports for destination airports is incorrect. For example today when arriving at EGKK I called for ATIS during the descent the weather was reported as 280/26 SCT 4600 temps -49 and pressure 994. I immediately checked the weather in ASE and it showed as 080/3 SCT2300 temps -3 and pressure 994. This was about 60 miles out from the airfield. I am using RC4 and have got DWC switched on. FSUIPC weather settings is off. Any ideas?ThanksJonathan
I'm getting consistently accurate wx reporting from RC4 ATIS for the destination airport. Here's my pertinent info:FSX SP2ASE SP2 (Build 642)FSUIPC registered V 4.645.1. I have ASE set to Standard Depiction Mode. 2. The Force Destination WX Zone,in General Options, is OFF (when I had it on, I was not getting accurate wx from RC4-I don't know if this was coincidental or not).3. I have the line, UseASEweather=Yes, in my FSUIPC4.ini file in the General Section.

After several days experimentation I can again confirm that DWC does not work for me in FSX with RC4, with the settings mentioned above. It always reports the weather at current location and not the weather at destination. If nobody else is having this problem then I would love to know what is different in my setup compared to everyone elses. In fact the only option that reliably reports the correct destination weather via RC4 is Smooth Cloud Transitions. This is despite the fact that the manual specifically mentions that this option will show the incorrect destination weather. It actually does show the correct weather. Downside is cloud flashing (again Hifi say that this is not supposed to happen in this mode but it does).A question though for Jim - using Smooth Cloud Transition, should I have the wind smoothing options set on via FSUIPC?Jonathan

Hi,FP processed in RC, FS, and ASE?With S.C.T. FSUIPC options should be Off.

Jonathan:I'll offer a little story that happened to me recently in the hopes that it may help you. I was having the same problem, and I was wondering what the heck had happened, because initially RC4 worked well with the recent upgrades in both ASE and FSUIPC. I knew I had the latest FSUIPC version, but unbeknownst to me, after installing a couple of new aircraft from a developer last week, my FSUIPC was overwritten and an older version was installed. After the errors I was having with the weather, I finally went into FSUIPC and ensured the version I had, and that's when I found out about the older version. I know it sounds too simplistic, as it seems that you have double checked everything, but you never know and wanted to throw it out there :(

Jim the flight plan has been processed through RC, FS and ASE. FSUIPC hasn't been overwritten by a previous version, it's still at v4.645.

I think RC4 will only get the proper weather for your destination within 50 miles not more. If you ask for weather farther out you will get a station you are flying over at the moment. You can double check in the RC4 Forum but I believe thats why OTTO calls for weather 50 miles from destination and not before.Sean
