December 19, 201015 yr Ok, I admit I'm knew to the King Air. But I've been flight Sim for years and know Basic Ap Operation. Here's the problem. Flying along, Turn on AP, select HDG. My hdg indicator is matched with my current heading. The autopilot turns to some random course (One that is not set any where on the plane). Ok, it levels at IT'S decided course. I hit my hdg knob on the AP to line up the hdg indicator on the hsi with the heading I'm flying. The autopilot turns to another completly random course. What's going on. PLS (AP mode is set to Nav, not gps)
December 19, 201015 yr My first guess would be that your HSI needs to be calibrated to your magnetic compass.regards,Joe The best gift you can give your children is your time.
December 19, 201015 yr That is very weir, I've been flying the King air for about 2 years now and have never seen this issue. Maybe a reinstall of the aircraft may help.P.S I havnt flown it in a while though. Then later was powering up again for another flight and left my avionics on when starting engines and same exact problem. Restarted flight, started engines with avionics off, no problems. Could it be modeled so well that I fried the autopilot when starting the engines with the avionics on?

Do you notice this at all??? I do know though that if you move your fuel levers before your turbine is 10% you WILL fry your engines. I've tested that several times. Try setting your fuel levers forward, then start your engine. Your ITT gauges will be pegged no matter what you do with the throttles.
December 19, 201015 yr ya the hotstart issue is pilot induced, however if you dont like the hotstart feature i beleive there is an option or a download to turn it off, I always kept it on.
