December 19, 201015 yr This evening I made my first flight using FMC - or, at least, as much of it as I could get to work........... The LNAV seems to be quite good and has the great benefit of extending back the centre line of the arrival runway which allows you to see when the ILS intercept will take place. However, one question remains (at least) which I have not been able to solve. When you are flying in FMC mode, how do you enter a change of course so that it can be taken into account by the FMC? D
December 19, 201015 yr DEINIOLENMANOne of two ways mate. If you want to go direct to a point that you already have in the flightplan then just go to the legs page, click the Line Select key next to it, and then click in the top line select key (Key 1 Left), this will place the waypoint to the top of the list, then hit Execute and it'll fly to that point if you are in LNAV mode. You can also enter a new waypoint by typing it into the scratchpad, once in just place it in the LSK at the top left again (1 left), then hit Execute. If you do this it will create a "route discontinuity", you can either delete this or click on the next waypoint and then put it into the LSK next to the discontinuity. See how you go, come back if you struggle. Rgds Dean May Happiness is a limp windsock

DI don't think a specific mode (LNAV, LVLCH, V/S, APP) will change the way the approach map displays the approach. If you select an ILS approach, in many cases (or all?) you see for example first CI29 (Intermadiate fix RWY29), followed by FI29 (final approach point RWY 29, or point of glidepath intersception).I don't know what the C and the F stands for though (Course and Final or Flightpath?). If anyone?...Best Regards,Bert Van Bulck
