Trust me, the Majestic Q400 is very much in development. It's slow going, but that's because it is going to be made right, and not rushed onto the market. It is also going to perform superb compared to the real thing. It is awesome, even now.

The Majestic Q400 will be far more advanced than anything I've seen released as freeware, and that includes PMDG.

This thread is so long that it's hard to decipher what is wanted the most. It's just as well you had me to come to the rescue. I am in the middle of 10 days off work with nothing better to do so I went through the whole thread and made an excel spreadsheet of the planes people would like to see. There's alot of generics in this list, along with alot of, how can I say it, "odd" suggestions. I have tried not to duplicate where people have posted more than once, so there maybe the odd addition that was there twice. We can use this thread to keep count further down the line. The Boeing 787, 777, All Airbus types, CRJ, RJ/146 & 717 all come out with healthy readings. I think PMDGs policy on Military aircraft holds water looking at this.

Hi Rich Before we go any further have you got the Battery Power switched on? The switch is inbetween the APU Gen 1 & 2 switches. Also ensure your Standby Power switch is not in the Off position. Another thing to check is your FSUIPC settings. You haven't uninstalled this recently too? If not, just make sure you have "Extend Battery Life" ticked in the Miscellaneous Tab within FSUIPC.

Never fear, the Majestic Q400 is going to be an absolute peach of an aeroplane. There's a massive gap in the market for this bird and I feel PMDG are missing a great opportunity by building the 200/300, but hey, it's their train set ;)

It has to be the Q400 for me, but as Majestic's is looking absolutely stunning it seems pointless for PMDG to make one now.I too would like to see a 717-200, or a quality, and updated A380/767/A330/787

As title really, chaps & chappettes.I am not a novice PC user by any stretch, I used to keep up to date with everything to do with hardware every month, but just haven't bothered for the last few years due to a career change. I am looking for a new graphics card to power flight simulator. My system is ok at the moment, and I can run FSX with most sliders maxed out, the problem comes with payware add-on scenery. I want to see an improvement in my system for when I am flying in these areas. My current system is as follows:Windows Vista 64bitAMD Phenom 9850 Quad Core 2.5ghz4GB RamASUS M2N68-AM Motherboard with PCI-Express GFX slot.I want to spend between £200-£300 maximum, I was looking at the Gigabyte Super Overclock GTX 580 1.5GB but it is well out of my price range at over £350. Not technically correct.The speed will be VMO or MMO (-10kts). The other thing that will restrict the speed to something lower than this is structural failure. Having had reports from the cabin that there was a hole in the side of the fuselage the descent would have been alot gentler and slower than you might think for obvious reasons.

RyanWhat difference does it make to the developer as to what version you make? Surely you have to start from scratch for each aeroplane, and each aeroplane will have it's quirks etc. I have offered my services to PMDG for free many times but I have not had any response. I can provide everything needed to develope a fantastic Q400 and as most sytems on the Q400 are common to the Q300/200 I see no reason not to make the Q400 instead. Afterall, Bombardier made it a common type rating. The Q300 has been done to death in the past, there is a massive gap in the payware market for a Q400.

Hi Richard.I am running Vista 64 bit, not upgraded.AMD Phenom 9850 Quad Core4GB RamGeForce 9600GT GraphicsSo you can see it's not the best system in the world but I can run FSX & FS9 with all sliders maxed out.I have various add-on sceneries etc, including VOZ Australias for Australia. I also run alot of payware a/c including the PMDG 737 & 747.One thing you will have to do though is run your display settings in "Windows Vista Basic" mode and not "Windows Aero" mode. Flight sim won't like it when running Windows Vista.

The problem with Missed Approach points is that alot of the time they are too close in to be of any use. An example would be a MAP of 0.5DME inbound on a LOC/DME approach. Technically you can fly to MDA, let's give an arbitrary figure of 560ft. This could be 400ft agl. So when you get to MDA and you are not visual you can fly to the MAP before initiating a go-around. If you were to get visual before the MAP you can then continue to land. The issue here is a stabilised approach criteria. There is no way you can land at a height of 400ft agl and 0.5DME in a stable condition. This is why most, if not all airline's S.O.Ps would be to go around at a height of MDA + 50ft, and not the MAP. This could be ok in light aircraft of course.
