December 20, 201015 yr I recently installed scenery at KDCA and added a 3rd party AFCAD file. The scenery is by Shehryar Ansari.I was in a default 737 flying IFR from Raleigh-Durham. As I neared the airport, my IFR clearance was abruptly cancelled. Later, I restarted FS9 completely, started a flight at KDCA and couldn't get ATC to even put the the "Contact Clearance Delivery" line. I manually tuned Clearance Delivery on the radio, and still was not able to load my flight plan.It may be unrelated, but on the first incoming flight I was not offered the "Turn on progressive taxi" option. On the new flight, the option was there but progressive taxi did not show up when it was selected.Any ideas? Is this a real-world thing with government paranoia around our nation's capital?
December 20, 201015 yr I think you shold check the AFCAD. Maybe there is something wrong with the ILS systems or/and the radios setting. Best regards, Steffen Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h

You can use the AFCAD tool to fix it up by measuring the actual runway elevation of the scenery and setting the correct elevation in the AFCAD. While you're there check the ils and runway data.I used Shez's scenery for years - it's excellent for its time, but finally broke down and picked up the Cloud9 version from FSDT.DJ

Is this a real-world thing with government paranoia around our nation's capital?I've had the default ATC cancel a clearance without warning too - most recently on approach to KLGA. That's also one of Shez's sceneries but I'm sure that's a coincidence as it happened with the default KLGA too, and occasionally happens elsewhere. Seems most common when your inbound course is roughly opposite the runway heading - ie it's as though the default ATC gets into bother working out vectors for a 180 degree turn. Afraid I haven't got a solution: it's not the most glaring of the default ATC's weaknesses, after all.Not being able to call clearance delivery can happen if you ended the previous flight somewhere other than at the gate and then reload that previous flight. Then you only get the "taxi to parking" options. But it doesn't sound like that's what you did. The progressive taxi thing is as others have said probably an AFCAD issue.
December 21, 201015 yr Author I played around with a couple of different AFCADs. I got the progressive taxi dialog back, but the lines never showed up. I also tried moving the AFCAD height up about 10 feet, in hopes that the PT lines would appear elevated, but still no luck. The ATC Clearance came back, though.Does it matter where the AFCAD file is? Right now, I've got it in Addon Scenery/Scenery. Would it work differently if I put it in the folder with the KDCA scenery?
