January 4, 201115 yr Has anyone written a Mission for air refueling using either the KC-130 from Capt Sim of the KC-135 from Premier Aircraft??Alternatively using any other Tanker Aircraft ?Many thanksGeorge
January 4, 201115 yr George - The Captain Sim package comes with a refueling mission as part of the package and there are instructions and guidance in the documentation. It is not easy to achieve but definately there. It is based upon the C130 receiving fuel from an AI Tanker Aircraft.I suspect you knew this already and were looking to undertake a refuel mission using a Tornado or similar and refuel from the KC135 in which case I know not of one of those!Rgds - Roger
January 4, 201115 yr A follow-up to Roger's...An alternative to waiting for someone to write a/some/more mission(s):If you have the SDK installed it is a process of just a few moments to create an AI flight using any tanker or other aircraft in whatever weather scenario or altitude you want; you can attach it to a pre-existing flightplan or set it up to just go "that-a-way". That's how I practice for our MP refueling events.FSRecorderX flights also work reasonably well for me.Loyd Hooked since FS4... now flying: FSX Acceleration on Win7/64, Core Duo E8400; GA-EP45-DS3R; GTX 460-768MB; 4G RAM; Freezer 7 Pro
January 4, 201115 yr Author Thanks Guys - I appreciate your helpHowever, as an elderly and very non-technical idiot - I am not too good at DIY and rely on the clever folk "out there".I can fly either aircraft in the usual way but am not at all capable of using SDK and as for finding an A1 Tanker - well :Nail Biting:In the meantime I`ll fly till the tanks are emptyRegardsGeorge

FSRecorderX is also relatively easy to use. Getting into and staying in position does take practice but you can practice with ANY AI that's available. If you want to do it, there are many who will help, myself included.Retired from the 'rat race', but not retired from FS!Hornets gather in multiplayer for a "drink"Loyd Hooked since FS4... now flying: FSX Acceleration on Win7/64, Core Duo E8400; GA-EP45-DS3R; GTX 460-768MB; 4G RAM; Freezer 7 Pro

Are you talking about one that is included in the Capt.Sim package or one that you download?? fisheye @ simflite.com
January 5, 201115 yr The gauge talked about in this thread.http://forum.avsim.net/topic/282564-in-flight-refueling-gauge-video/page__view__findpost__p__1768183__hl__refuel+gauge__fromsearch__1There's a KC135 with drogue attached that also enhances the situation.Gauge and KC135 were in use in my image above.Loyd Hooked since FS4... now flying: FSX Acceleration on Win7/64, Core Duo E8400; GA-EP45-DS3R; GTX 460-768MB; 4G RAM; Freezer 7 Pro
