Error on ND

Featured Replies

Hi to all I have bin having a problem with all of my aircraft. It gives me a different heading of 20 degrees on my ND. When flying the same thing and on approach to dont know what happen. If i open FSNavigator to see if the aircraft is flying the right path it is, but not on the ND its not. I already look around to see if any one had the same problem, this is frustrating. I already try seing if it was the magdec.dll the file it is okay i have the latest FSUIPC installed the airac's to i already did a restoration point and still the same i let fs9 create a new fs9.cfg still no luck don't know what else to do. thanks for any help

The ND is correct (not counting magvar diffs between your FMS and FS9), its the scenery that is off.You install any new scenery lately ? You may have a scenery conflict that is affecting the scenery at this airport in FS9, or a corrupt magvar.bgl file.Regards.Ernie.

I had the same issue recently and traced it to a scenery I downloaded. Others, including the author, had no problem whith the heading on the ND as I had. Uncheck sceneries in the library until you find the one causing the problem. I couldn't understand why the scenery wouldn't work for me as it did others.Jim D.

Sure would like to read the definitve "Eureka, problem solved" post, but no one ever seems to post an answer after they solve their problem. I have the same issue and have posted in PMDG Forum, AVSIM FS2004 Forum and on VATSIM Forum. Lots of ideas on how to fix but none have panned out for me. @Ernie Sir, your's is a name I recognize and trust (one day I'll actually have enough spare cash to buy your ISG FMC) and I have tried the corrupt scenery file fix. I disabled all 397 of my addon scenery files and then checked my heading bug. It was right on so I though to myself that I truly had a corrupt file. Then I started adding them back one at a time and rechecked heading after each "re-enable" before enabling the next one. That was taking forever, so I started "re-enabling" 10 sceneries at a time and still the heading bug was dead on what it was supposed to be. Finally got to the last 60 and boom, the "bug" was off so I disabled the last ten I enabled and the bug was good. Added those ten one at a time and the bug was good. Doesn't make sense. Add 10 at a time and the bug is off...add those same ten one at a time and the bug is on. I eventually got all 397 re-enabled and the bug was dead on at U76 (my home airport). Tried a couple of flights and the bug was off again/on again. Seems totally random whether it works or not. I'm confused.

I had the same problem and it drove me crazy! When flying the PSS airbus the aircraft track would always be offset from what the ND was showing. When I tried to place an aircraft on a specific runway, the runway was completely wrong! I think I traced it to a scenery for Austin, Texas. If you have that one, try disabling it and see what happens. Good luck!Airbus

I do have Mach 1 Design Group's 2007 Austin scenery installed. I'll try disabling that and giver her a go. Thank you sir. Randy
