Hi Zachiii,Are there any other problems evident with sounds? Anything making noises before the sim completes it's startup? Or noises before unpausing or after pausing? Any other problems?Regards; Steve.

Steve,All FSX sound is good except my J41 engine sound has an irregular, slight studder or hesitation from time to time, about once every minute or two.zach

Well I've been listening very carefully to mine and have not got that, just keeps constant.Does it do it inside and out? Wondering if a specific sound file is causing the problem.Have you tried reinstalling? It's rare but can happen that a file is altered in some way during copying.Regards; Steve

http://www.thesycon.de/deu/latency_check.shtml Download this and watch it to see if you're getting big spikes when the problem happens - I'll bet that there are... No known solution for this unfortunately, certain motherboards and their sound chipsets just seem to have problems with it.

Is it just me? A low rythmic bass hum has become a bit of a head ache. Is this normal or are there some pills I could take for it?Seriously though for me it is spoiling the enjoyment somewhat. Is it the same for everyone?

I do not have a sound card. I use Integrated Motherboard Audio.Should I purchase a sound card, do you think that would solve my issue?

I've also had looping sound problems. Not with the J41 though or any PMDG aircraft touch wood. Mainly with Default planes, Captain Sim, Level D and Aerosoft.I've tried everything, Onboard sound and 2 x new sound cards. All to no avail. So just a warning, you can try a sound card, but its not a guaranteed fix. Most success I have had is turning down bit rate and quality of sound and also adjusting various levels. Never totally got rid of issues but 95% fixed in all my planes now.I have also changed sound sets which fixed my problems with the LVL D767 sounds but cant imagine that would be easy for the J41Another thing that can help is adjusting your graphic equializer levels. Also for some aircraft if you adjust sound quality to 1 instead of 2 in FSX.cfg this fixes it. But it can also make it worse for other aircraft.I really have tried everything suggested in all the forums etc. Ive also tried the latency checker that Ryan suggested but mine is always well in the green so the problem is not latency on my machine but go to be worth a shot for you to try.The only thing I notice that is common is often the persons with sound issues have asus / asus P6 boards but I notice you do not.But I have not replaced my mobo so I don't know.Just my thoughts as it can be disappointing buying a card and it does not fix the issue, but then again it might. That is the annoying thing about sound issues in FSX its all hit and miss in my experience.Good luck. Let us know if you fix it!!!

Keithy,I have a new audio card, Creative Labs SB X-Fi. Sound is great but audio flaw is still there. How did you "turn down bit rate" and adjust "graphic equializer levels".Thanks, zach
