January 15, 201115 yr I have read around that it may be feasible to change this line in the FSX cfg file from 8 to 12, to get a nicer depiction of overcast. This method was proven to work in FS9, is it a nice tweak for FSX as well?I understand that if I change any graphic settings in FSX the entry will revert back to 8, but other than that minor issue is this tweak widely used? I don't hear about it in all the tweak posts and was wondering why. A.J. Domingo
January 15, 201115 yr Hi,It does work in FSX and it isn't mentioned more because it CAN cause quite an FPS hit. So it can be a tweak in the wrong direction.
January 15, 201115 yr Author Thanks for the reply Jim. I have very nice performance with max sliders and 100% AI with my system, I just may try it out sometime and see if it's worth it. I can't complain about overcast really with ASE and DWC on, but if I can improve it its worth a shot! A.J. Domingo
